44 for 44

At 44, here are 44 things that I have learned and know to be true. Have a great day today my friends.

1. Yes, God is real.

2. Your gift can make room for you.

3. A baby can heal broken hearts.

4. A mother's love is stronger than distance, more powerful than time and can transcend the grave.

5. Take time to smell the roses but be careful of the bees.

6. God will really make your enemy your footstool.

7. A footstool is only needed when you need to get higher. Let your enemy lift you.

8. God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies so let them watch you eat.

9. Be careful what you say, life and death truly are in your own words.

10. There will be rough nights but joy really does come in the morning.

11. Fear is a sprit that really can stop you from living.

12. God has not given us a spirit of fear.

13. The joy of The Lord really is strength.

14. Being alone doesn't necessarily mean that you're lonely.

15. True love can come more than once.

16. Let go and love with the same amount of might.

17. Life is short but heartache is shorter.

18. Don't share your dreams with everyone and don't be angry with non-dreamers.

19. It takes a while to build a dream.

20. The dream will outlive the dreamer so dream big.

21 If you lie to yourself you will lie to God too.

22. Live where you are so God can meet you at your needs.

23. Never wish to be somebody else.

24. The grass may be greener on the other side but the the water bill is higher.

25. Don't let people change who you are just be who you are with someone else.

26. Heartbreak can make you hard! But don't let it make you bitter.

27. Bitterness is as toxic as stage 4 cancer.

28. While the most dangerous person in the world is a person with nothing to lose, the most powerful person in the world is a person with nothing to prove.

29. Don't try to be seen, God may be hiding you on purpose.

30. Your beginning never dictates your destination.

31. The will to live is as strong as the will to love and be loved.

32. You really will reap what you sow.

33. You can learn something from everything and everybody, especially the elderly.

34. Childrens' laughter is like medicine to sadness.

35. Prayer really can change things.

38. You give away your power when you don't forgive.

39. Always aim for right and avoid doing wrong at all costs.

41. Teach but never try to change people because sometimes they change back.

42. Share wisdom with those who will receive it.

    34. Children’s laughter is like medicine to sadness. [Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine…” For children’s hearts are filled with wonderment and laughter, if we would only listen it would erase our sadness.] 35. Prayer really can change things. [James 5:16 “…The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”] 36. If it had not been for The Lord on my side I don't know where I would be. [Psalm 124:1, 6 “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side…” 6 “Blessed be the Lord, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.”] 37. Who you are at 20 will not be who you are at 40 and if it is, SOMETHING IS WRONG! [I Corinthians 13:11 “When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.”] 38. You give away your power when you don't forgive. [Matthew 6:14-15 “For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” The power lies within you!!!] 39. Always aim for right and avoid doing wrong at all costs. [I Thessalonians 5:15 “See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.” “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your GOOD works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.”] 40. Never argue with what is. [II Timothy 2:23-25 “But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes. 24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the TRUTH.”]

    28. While the most dangerous person in the world is a person with nothing to lose, the most powerful person in the world is a person with nothing to prove. [Matthew 13:12 “For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.” "The most dangerous creation of any society is the man who has nothing to lose." - James A. Baldwin] 29. Don't try to be seen, God may be hiding you on purpose. [Habakkuk 2:3 “For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”] 30. Your beginning never dictates your destination. [Zechariah 4:10 “For who hath despied the day of small things?” Despise not the day of small beginnings… Ecclesiastes 9:11 “…the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong…time and chance happeneth to them all.” Matthew 24:13 “But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.”] God can take you from “Lord of Little” to “Master of Much”. 31. The will to live is as strong as the will to love and be loved. [Exodus 20:12 “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Love strong and live long!!!] 32. You really will reap what you sow. [Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”] 33. You can learn something from everything and everybody, especially the elderly. [I Timothy 5:1 “Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father…”]

    23. Never wish to be somebody else. [Exodus 20:17 “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet they neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor ANY THING that is thy neighbour’s.”] 24. The grass may be greener on the other side but the water bill is higher. [Isaiah 40:6 “…All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:” God is the living water…Water you flesh daily!!! Isaiah 40: 8 “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”] 25. Don't let people change who you are just be who you are with someone else. [Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not…” We are called to be like Him. 2 Peter 1:4 “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” Just be yourself. You cannot change your spiritual DNA!!!] 26. Heartbreak can make you hard! But don't let it make you bitter. [Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away form you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”] 27. Bitterness is as toxic as stage 4 cancer. [Hebrews 12:15 “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;” “Bitterness is like cancer. It eats upon the host. But anger is like fire. It burns it all clean.” – Maya Angelou]

    12. God has not given us a spirit of fear. [II Timothy 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”] 13. The joy of the Lord really is strength. [Nehemiah 8:10 “…for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Enough said…] 14. Being alone doesn't necessarily mean that you're lonely. [Hebrews 13:5 “…I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Matthew 28:20 “…and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” I am never alone and therefore loneliness has no power over me.] 15. True love can come more than once. [I Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. LOVE NEVER ENDS.” (ESV)] 16. Let go and love with the same amount of might. [Deuteronomy 6:5 “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy MIGHT.”] 17. Life is short, but heartache is shorter. [James 4:14 “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”] 18. Don't share your dreams with everyone and don't be angry with non-dreamers. [Matthew 7:6 “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”] 19. It takes a while to build a dream. [Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He hath made everything beautiful in his time…” It is in God’s timing and not our own.] 20. The dream will outlive the dreamer so dream big. [II Corinthians 4:18 “…for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”] 21. If you lie to yourself you will lie to God too. [Proverbs 19:5 “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.”] 22. Live where you are so God can meet you at your needs. [I Corinthians 7:20 “Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.”]

Happy Belated Birthday Bishop Tyler!!! On your birthday you’re traditionally supposed to receive gifts, but in true Tyler fashion on your birthday you gave a gift. Thank you for the Bible study. I have found EVIDENCE that you are a Godly man. I studied to find out if what you wrote is truth [II Timothy 2:15] and you passed the test with a grade of A+++ (A=Anointed, one plus for the Father, one plus for the Son, and one plus for the Holy Spirit). Here goes: 1. Yes, God is real. [I John 4:8 proclaims that “GOD IS LOVE” and few can doubt that LOVE is real.] 2. Your gift can make room for you. [Proverbs 18:16 “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”] 3. A baby can heal broken hearts. [Jeremiah 1:5 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee…” Every baby is a blessing from God. Psalms 147:3 “He healeth the broken in heart, and boundeth up their wounds.] 4. A mother's love is stronger than distance, more powerful than time and can transcend the grave. [Song of Solomon 8:6 “…for love is strong as death”] Death doesn’t win!!!] 5. Take time to smell the roses, but be careful of the bees. [Job 37:14 “…stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.” Roses and bees are some of God’s most wondrous work…ignoring them is like walking past a Picasso or Rembrandt painting without stopping to admire the creation.] 6. God will really make your enemy your footstool. [Mark 12:36 “Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.” Also Luke 20:43, Acts 2:35, Hebrews 1:13, and Hebrews 10:13….God means that thing!!!] 7. A footstool is only needed when you need to get higher. Let your enemy lift you. [Luke 10:19 “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER all the power of the enemy…” You will be high and lifted up!!! In the words of Justin Bieber “the haters I swear, they look so small from up here….I’M BIGGER!!!] 8. God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies, so let them watch you eat. [Psalm 23:5 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies…” Judas, pass the salt please…I’m just saying.] 9. Be careful what you say, life and death truly are in your own words. [Proverbs 18:21 “Death and Life are in the power of the tongue…” Speak LIFE!!!] 10. There will be rough nights, but joy really does come in the morning. [Psalm 30:5 “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Simple as that.] 11. Fear is a spirit that really can stop you from living. [I John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” A life without love is no life at all.]
