Don't You Just Love It When...

Don't you just love it when somebody calls just to say hi, just to check in on you? Not to ask you for anything, but just to say hi.

This doesn't happen to me enough, not sure if it happens a lot to you. So...I'm just saying hello.

I hope you're well, staying strong and blessed.

It really does feels good to be remembered, Tyler. I still remember on one of Oprah's shows when she really hit the note by saying, "What most really needs is just to be noticed, to be recognised, like 'do you see me?" So, I love it that you do. I'm your biggest fan. Keep it up.

It truly makes a difference when I receive an email or text from someone encouraging me or to say they are thinking about me. It makes me feel relevant. Especially when I have had a tough day like today. I felt like the target of ridicule. I questioned my ability to be an effective manager, although I have managed for years. It took everything in my power to restrain the tears. I had to suck down my tears as if I was sucking liquid through a straw. I refused to show that weakness. I silenced myself and limited my words. I did what was expected of me and went home feeling like my career no longer felt like a career, but a job. Then I received a text saying "Just wanted to tell you Jesus loves you! You are the head and not the tail! You are a mighty woman of God! Don't let anyone tell you different! Be Blessed!" Just what I needed in a moment of weakness a reminder.

Hello I hope that all is well. I was in route to Atlanta when I realized traffic was at a stand-still. After tuning the radio to an ATL radio station I learned that the POTUS was headed to meet you then to go to a benefit. I thought "HOW COOL IS THAT!" After checking in to my hotel, me and my 11 year old daughter decided to go for a stroll in Midtown Atlanta. Although I appreciate the POTUS and all that he has done, I think I was just as excited to know that you might be in the entourage beneath the bridge where we were walking...er...um.....prior to us being rushed across the bridge by ATL's finest. Needless to say, the evening was very memorable. I said all that to say that you are awesome and I will continue to support your work. BTW did you know your birth name means industrious; strong. It so fits you!
