Encouraged by a cell phone

OK,

To all of you that use the cell phone light like I do, I just want to say this.  For me, as I was walking through my dark house trying to get to my bedroom, it was truly an exercise in faith. I could only see the light at my feet. I had to trust that even though I could only see three feet in front of me, if I kept following this light, I would get there.

It reminded me of a scripture in the bible, Psalm 119:105 "The word is a lamp unto my feet and a light into my pathway." Back in those days when people would travel through the night, they would use little lamps that were attached to their feet. The lamp only gave them enough light to see just a few steps in front of them.  As long as they kept moving, they could find their way. If they stopped moving, so did the light.

This moved me because this is how I have lived my entire life. I have always walked by faith. Sometimes there was only a little light, a little hope that kept me moving.  There were so many times that I didn’t know how I was going to make it. So many times I didn’t know where my next meal was coming from, if my hope would be realized or if my dreams would come true. But no matter how dark it got, I kept moving.  That is one of the keys to making your dreams come true. JUST KEEP MOVING FORWARD!

If you’d allow me to, I’d like to challenge you to do more of that this year. Live by faith! No matter what you see happening around you, no matter how dark it may be, follow the lamp at your feet that God provides to us all, no matter who we are.  A small step is still a step forward.

At the top of every year, I stop and go away to reflect. I will usually take out my journal and read over some of the past years and look at all the things God brought me through, no matter how dark the times. What rereading my journal taught me is that there was always a lamp at my feet. I think if you look at your life, you’ll see a lamp too. :-)  If you don’t, look closer. I promise you it's there!

If you’re struggling in any way, financially, school, business, relationships, children, sickness, heartache, I so believe that God will be a light unto your pathway. IF YOU LET HIM!!  Stop looking for the light at the end of the tunnel and look at the light at your feet and you’ll get there.

I hope you remember this every time you use your cell to light a path.  God Bless you in 2012! You can make this your best year yet, through faith.

I like your light, I have a light of my own . I am a writer and right now I am on a crusade to open a library in my small town it is greatly needed. I also have a story idea for you and Medea acting as a White House Nanny. You can imagine the fun she can get into and the trouble. If you are interested let me know. I also have a play for Martin Luther King day called I Have a New Dream. I wrote it with my students when I was teaching. About this Kardasian thing, I know that there are problems with that family and I am sure Media could set them straight. I love your movies, they are truly inspired and a joy to watch. I think out side the box and I can see you are a kindred spirit. If you'd like to hear my Media story, let me know.

Hello Mr. Tyler, God has truly given you wisdom. You may not have a master's or a Phd degree; but you are a student of the Lord Jesus. Taught by God. I use my phone in the dark sometimes but you shed new meaning to this action. Thank you, my faith has increase by your words of encouragement. Please Tyler don't cry anymore for your mother she is asleep in the arms of Jesus. I too have lost my mother in 2005 and still needed one so I adopted a mother, a woman of substance she is loving and kind. I noticed that life goes on and when someone is gone on you have a choice to move or stand still emotionally. I encourage you to adopt a mother. God love you and so do I. Keep up the good work that you are doing for the Lord. God bless you and staff members.

Dear Tye, Within each day I try to truely keep moving. Through all the twist and turns that has been put before me. I try to always keep moving because if I let the negative things stop me from going on. I will not know at the end what God has for me. We must go on. To much is happening I must keep the faith and hope that there is always a light that will shine for me some where. I just ask that you please pray for me and my Mom that is in the hospital. She can't talk know and is on dialysis so so much . Wishing I can take away her pain . The light that lay before me,

Blessing Mr. Tyler Perry, I thank God for you bringing reality to my family and have truly enjoyed your plays, movies and all of your work. Hi Mr. Perry, It gives me a great pleasure to e-mail you this evening. I have followed all of your plays and movies. I am looking forward to your new play that is coming however paying school loans are expensive and I hope you can help a sister out and send me two tickets, so I can see the play in Durham. I also desire for you to come to Kinston, NC and visit the smaller church families that follow you and support your endeavors. I know that this is a bold request, but in God's word it said, You have not because you ask not. So, I am exercising my faith and asking you to come to 602 JP Harrison Blvd. in Kinston, NC while you are in the Durham area. It is only two hours from where you are performing, and I would appreciate a Master's Degee gift, in that I have completed my degree and I desire a new Lexus....Be blessed and I will wait for your reply. You gave me the fight years ago, as I came from a poor rural Moss Hill area on a farm, and worked since I was five according to my mother, but your plays pushed me to be more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ, Giving him all the Glory for my accomplishments when man said no, but God said, YES I can. Boldly submitted Lyndia

Tyler, so many positive things you have done for my wife and I. My favorite part about your work, your art, your movies/plays/etc. is that you simply and humbly yet powerfully show that Christ our Savior has a sense of humor when he wants one, that he is firm when he needs to be, and that with the Lord there is a time and place for all... however ONE fact of our savior is that no matter the day/time/hour/minute... HE IS ALWAYS THERE .. Tyler thank you and thank you to your family and staff.. please continue on and do your thing! love and respect -Kris Finlayson

Tyler, thanks so much for sharing this encouraging word. It's so funny.. I was encouraging someone several months ago and I said to them remember how it was back in the bible days. There were lamps on your shoes and you were only able to see right in front of you. We must take one step at a time. Our Lord is so awesome... here's to living by faith! You are such a blessing. You are destined for greatness and the best is yet to come.

Mr. Perry, Thank you once again for the inspiration that you bring forth. Every day is a struggle and one tends to want to throw in the towel. I don't know what brought me to the good state of Georgia? Yet and still I am here. Getting older, unemployed, and can't escape my past to bring forth a brighter future for myself. Your comment was very uplifting today so again, Thank You!!
