Have You Ever Been Cheated On? Have You Ever Cheated or Thought About It?

OK, so one time I had an accident in my car. I was so upset. I had the car towed to the shop and had it repaired. They tried their best to make it like new again. They fixed the damage and repainted the area where the car had been hit. But no matter how they tried to match the paint to the original color, they couldn’t. So every day after that, when I would go to the car, I would always notice that the paint didn’t match. Every time I got into the car I would see that area where the paint was different and it would always remind me of the wreck. And even though the car had been repaired it never rode or drove the same again.

Later, I found out that because the car had been damaged it was worth less than it was before the damage. I thought about this the other day when I was thinking about people who cheat in relationships. When someone cheats, or you have been cheated on, the relationship is never the same. Sure, you can stay together, work on it and repair it, but every time you take a hard look at your relationship you will be reminded of it. I know many of you reading this understand what I’m talking about. The relationship was once so amazing and new and now has lost its value. You have tried to move on but it’s difficult to trust again. I get it, I SO GET IT!

That’s why I wrote Temptation, my new movie that opens this Friday. I WANT YOU TO SEE IT THIS WEEKEND! In this movie I talk about being tempted, I talk about how to forgive, I talk about how to move on from it, and I also talk about how sometimes the decisions you make when you decide to cheat can stay with you for the rest of your life. This movie is powerful. I showed it to several hundred pastors, then had them over to my house to talk about it and the sentiment was the same. This movie has the power to save relationships. So please go see it this weekend if you can. Bring your husband or your wife, your girlfriends and boyfriends, single's ministries and church groups. The subject matter is too strong for kids but it’s perfect for young adults and older. I can’t wait for you to see it. TEMPTATION OPENS EVERYWHERE THIS FRIDAY.

I'M SO TAKING ME TO SEE THIS MOVIE. SO NEEDED. I READY DON'T THINK WE AS HUMAN BEINGS COUNT UP THE COST, BECAUSE WE GET CAUGHT UP IN THE MOMENT AS IF THERE IS NO MORE TIME TO BE EXPECTED. IN THIS DAY IN AGE ITS PAYS YOU NOT TO BE ON CLOUD NINE. BUT ON THE ALERT!!!!!!! EYES (PAYING ATTENTION TO SIGNS) AND EARS (HEARING FROM GOD) WIDE OPEN. CHEATING IN THIS DAY IN AGE IS THE NEW SWAG THERE ITS SEEMS LIKE PEOPLE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT ONENESS( BEING COMPLETE WITH ONLY ONE) WHAT IS SO WRONG WITH GIVING OR SHOWING YOUR ONLY ONE YOU DESIRE ONLY THEM. TYLER THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE WORLD HOW CHEATING SHOULD NEVER BE A CHOICE AND THAT IF YOU DO DECIDE TO. HOW IT ONLY, WITH OUT A DOUBT MAKE YOUR LIFE BITTER (FULL OF REGRETS) AND NOT BETTER. #TEAM RIGHTOUSNESS : ) STAY PURE. STAY FAITH TO ONLY ONE THAT WHATS UP.

Yes that is so true. Great analogy! I've always been a fan of everything you write. Personally I think that forgiving someone who has cheated on you is really not that easy. but it can be done when you truly love and care for someone, thought it takes some time. But even tho we forgive this person for the wrong things they've done, we can never really forget what they did, it stays with us forever, no matter how many times they may have said sorry, because that won't wash away all the pain and hurt they caused and the tears they made us cry, just like a wound, it can be healed but the scars will remain, but what changes is how we deal with our emotions. Over time, the pain, disappointment and anger may diminish... I can't wait to see this, I love all of your movies. they always have a positive message :)

It's sad to say that THIS is the question they way too many of us can relate too. Been there, done that! Well, I never actually cheated on my SO but they have cheated. And like it's been said..the relationship will never be the same. The feelings of hurt and betrayal will remain until the end, I'm afraid. No matter how hard they try to make it go away, it doesn't! You are always going through, the "what did I do", phase..blaming oneself for the weakness of others. If you are that unhappy in the relationship, that you feel the need to cheat, I just think it's best to lease. Counseling is a neat idea on paper but will it change the person original feelings? I don't know..still undecided!!!! Still on the fence!!! Anyway, on the plus side..I am looking forward to your new movie, Temptation. Keep bustin', Mr. Perry!

I have been married to an abusive man for about 8 years, and had been separated for over two years. I have always been faithful to him even though at times your mind wanders and thinks that if only you were married to this person, or that person that somehow it would change your current situation. Not only would you be so much happier with this new person, but he would treat you the way God wants you to be treated, the way you deserve to be treated. Thank God I am no longer with this abusive man, and I am on my way to recovery, and making wiser decisions thank you God. I am learning that no man or woman can give you what you are lacking, only God can do that!! God bless you always! :)

I agree....the relationship is never the same. I've been in a relationship where I knew, I was told but I stayed in the relationship because I love so deeply and there was a child involved. When I love so deeply I hold on to the good memories and good times. I would not ask because I know my heart would of been tarnished so I looked the other way and as long as he was there from time to time, I made the best of it. He was killed and now I am left with mix feelings. My focus is my children...

Thank you Tyler! I will make sure I go see this movie. I have been cheated on and didn’t find out until 6 years later. And the reason I found out was because by me being in the military I have to take a DNA test to prove that my 2 girls were mine before they can be put on my insurance. Came to find out that im not the biological father of my oldest daughter. If it wasn’t for that who knows how long she would have keep this secret from me. Lord knows I wanted to kill her after I found out. Im still trying to deal with this but like u said the relationship has never been the same. I always get reminded of it and its very difficult to trust again. So I can really relate to your message.

Yup and yes. I had an emotional affair when I was married. He cheated on me. Cheating is a deal breaker for me. Im so glad you went back to helping others. I wish you would have recorded your meeting with the pastors. I would like to hear what they had to say. Alex cross, no sir...we need to walk away with something positive. Stay away from hollywood. If I marry I hope I will never cheat. The foundation must be strong. Foundations can be repaired too but at what cost? Can we afford to repair? I am single because I figure all men cheat so what is the point? I will see the movie next friday. I will not see it opening weekend. Good night.

Yes, will be there fRIDAY. But I would like to know-have you even been cheating on Tyler Perry. How recently, if so, how did you deal with it??? And is this the real reason you wrote TEMPTATIONS- THE MOVIE?
