I 'm Going To Take a Long Break

I don’t know if you remember this or not, but around 2005 I took off from touring my Madea plays for about 5 years. During that time, I was working mostly on movies and TV shows. Well, as much as I love to be out on stage and doing a live Madea show, the time has come again for me to take a long break from the stage. I have some major projects that I'm working on that will require a lot of my time and effort. Just know that I did not want to stop this tour until I had hit as many cities as possible. So I'm going to finish out this Fall leg of the tour and then take a long break.

Madea Gets a Job will start the last leg of the tour on September 20th and end just before Thanksgiving 2012. It was also very important to me that the ticket price start at $25. If you have never seen me live, you have never seen me at all. I'm telling you, ask anyone who has and they will tell you. Come out and see me and bring your family. This show will have you rocking and rolling and laughing and crying and singing all the way back home. You’ll see!

Dear Mr. Perry, I was very excited when I read your message regarding your tour dates in Miami at the American Airlines Arena. My finacee and I have followed all your work from the beginning and were excited to plan a date night to go see your show. Moreover I was excited to see that you are requesting that the tickets start at $25. I was very disappointed with Ticket M***** when I went to price range and realized that the tickets start at $38 plus the surcharges. As I had long awaited to see you on stage I see my self just having to wait longer as the ticket price have almost doubled. Please advise as to any alternate options that might be available. Thank you for your time in reagrds to this matter.

I just want you to hear me out. It's funny as hell. If you don't want to take it on. Maybe you can be my mentor and give me some ideas to whom to give it too. I don't want to give it over info over your website. If you could please give me a call I'd gladly appreciate it. You won't be disappointed. Thanks For Your Time, Maybe you won't take a long break after this... Teresa

I would love to see your play at the Garden in November for my Birthday but @ $112.00 is a little too steep. Not only that but when you click on the link for your play on the website The Christmas Spectacular comes up. I would check that out!!!!!! You have to click on the calender date. Then learn more, then choose the date. If not you are redirected like I said. Pretty sad. They need to correct that.

Tyler, I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for spreading the gospel in such a unique and creative way. About 8 years ago my best friend introduced me to "Madea" and I think we are the only white girls in Atlanta to own every play and dvd, not bootleg. I grew up in Atlanta, Dekalb county, and taught in the school system for 8 years. Actually, I was China McClain's teacher at Cedar Hill when she was called to do "House of Payne." A year ago I left the school system, sold everything, and followed God's calling to be a missionary in Germany. I am currently working at Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, which allows me logistic support while reaching out to the Germans, Russians, Africans and Iranian refugees. It is a blessing to serve the culture of Christ and demonstrate His ways. God has continuously blessed me in so many ways while doing His work but I find that at times it can bring me down. However, when I am feeling overwhelmed with despair or homesickness I just pull out a Madea play or movie. I laugh, I cry, and I rejoice at the work He is doing through you. I have no clue if you actually read these messages but I pray that this note reaches you. I NEVER write things like this but I felt like God wanted me to affirm the work you are doing and encourage you to keep fighting the good fight for the Kingdom of God and the Cause of Christ. On a side note, I was hoping to make it to your play "Madea gets a job" in November when I am home for the Holidays but it looks like you will already be in New York. I have never seen you live and as you say that means "I have never seen you at all." I can only imagine! I would have loved hearing Madea's words of wisdom, and who could forget Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley's incredible voice. She is another reason I love the Madea plays...what a voice. Regardless, I will buy the play when it comes out. Thank you Tyler for dedicating your life to His calling. You have a gift! Isaiah 61:1-3

Mr Perry, it was a great gesture to allow another playwright to flourish under your umbrella. The musical, 'U Don't Know Me', I saw last night at Cobb Energy Centre, was a smash hit. It should definitely go to broadway. It will be great to reach a broadway way audience. You have set the standard very high, and I appreciate that too. God has blessed you and, in turn, you have blessed another dreamer. We are our brother's keeper. I pray this production reaches our youth, so that we can regain the integrity that has been lost along the way, as it pertains to educating our youth. Let us all FIGHT TOGETHER AND SAVE OUR CHILDREN E
