I Thank God For Closed Doors

When I wake up in the morning and see the sunrise as I’m running, I thank God for new mercies every day. As I was running this morning I started thinking about this and you know how much I like to share my morning thoughts… LOL

I was out just thinking about my life and all the times that I wished that a door had opened. All the times I had promoters and people lie to me saying that they would help me... I remember wishing the bank would approve my loan request for a house or a car (usually one I couldn’t afford at the time). I wished that this person would help me or that person would do something to help my business, or this person would help my dreams come true.

As I look back now I’m so glad that none of those situations worked out. I’m so glad God closed those doors because they forced me to find the right path for me. If you’re in this situation and you feel like doors are closing all around you and you are frustrated, here’s something I’d like you to think about: Life can be like a living maze. You know what a maze is. In a maze, you start out at one end and your objective is to find your way to the finish line.

Many times you may make a turn and hit a dead end and you have to go another way. Just like life, that door closing on you sends you another way. It doesn’t mean it’s not going to happen, it just means you need to go another way. If you keep moving, eventually you will get to where you’re going.

Another thing that is important when you’re in a maze, as in life, is to remember where you have been. If you get turned around and confused in a maze, in order to get out, you have to remember the dead-ends that you have already hit. Just like in life you have to remember all the doors that were closed so you don’t waste time going that way again. If you want to get to your dreams you can’t expect to get there by doing the same thing and going to the same spots. You must try something different. I’m not saying give up on your dream, I’m saying try another path to the same dream. Same maze, same dream, but take a different direction to get there.

I feel sorry for people who have a dream and give up because it gets hard. Let me tell you something, "IT’S GOING TO GET HARD!" And my answer to that is, "SO WHAT? MAKE IT HAPPEN!!!" Don’t stop because a door closed. I have learned to thank God for closed doors. You have to know that if God wanted you to go that way, no man could close that door. But for some reason he allowed that door to be closed, but if that one was closed I assure you that there is one that is open somewhere. And it’s the right one. Don’t stop until you are living your dream.

Is this helping anybody?

Tyler, Thank you for that inspirational message. I never viewed life as a maze but as a journey. Nevertheless you message was helpful today and my thoughts continue to haunt me questing where did I go wrong? Remember the dead ends you hit and don't go down that path again, find a new path to your destiny! I know those are not your words just my translation of the message sent and well received. Thank you for taking time from your busy schedule to pour positive seeds into our lives and feed our starving dreams!

That is the gospel. Sometimes when I look back it scares me some. Why? Because if I had gotten way, I would be in a terrible situation. So I thank him for guiding me and closing those doors but opening the fight ones at the right times too. God is the BOSS in my life and his way is the ONLY way.

As always, Tyler you really "preach" just when I need the motivation. If you never make another play, movie or tv show. Just know that God has used you for a beautiful purpose, you have inspired and motivated me more than you know. My faith is strong but as all humans occasionally, I falter and don't feel as if I'm going to achieve my purpose. Whenever I get that feeling, you send a little note. God uses you just at the right time. God Bless you in all you do and thank you for your spirit.

Tyler, Shut your mouth and keep talking! Wheee! :) lol You are preaching to the choir my dear. Sometimes it is a difficult and laborious journey to receive the rejection when doors are closed in your face. Particularly when you have given everything you know & your absolute best. But thanks be to God, this is when you have to hold on to your faith, pray and believe God that all things work together for the good of them who love the Lord. If God allowed the door to close then He has a better door opening for you. God will never leave you empty or ignorant. He love me enough and showed me in a dream the morning of my separation. My body was in a split position. I woke up and said Lawd what meanest this? lol He gave me almost word for word verbatim what was about to take place. May 1st was the day of my split! Ouch! lol My faith has always been in Christ. I love people but I worship God! He is my source. He uses people as resources but ultimately He is my sole provider. You have to trust God totally when you are a family of 8. When I experienced the lay off, budget cut, termination, displacement or downsize; my 10 year daugher called being fired. I said Zoe don't say fired because the word fired gives such a negative connotation. I told her to say something like; displaced, terminated, budget cut etc.... She said mom they all say the same thing as "fired!" lol She made me laugh and I thank God for my 6 children because they keep me going even when I get tired. They are watching how I respond to this situation so I am using it as an opportunity to teach them to keep moving forward through the maze of life. Never give up, give out or give in! If you hit rock bottom, God is still God and surely if He watches over the sparrow, I know that He can't keep His eyes off of me! Selah........ love you Tyler and call me if you have any openings. :)

Tyler, Your piece closed doors, give me the chill as if you've had a discussion with me. Am an immigrant with great talent migrated to the US, I've never suffer my whole life till I got here, thinking this is the land of milk & honey, I sometimes think my dreams are shattered, it seems as though all doors closed on knowing I was at the door, but I still have hope & believe one day the sun will shine my way, or some doors will open for me. Remain Blessed
