I'm Ashamed to Say!

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I feel a lot better now. I'm done with all the press tour stuff. That is so draining. I'm not complaining at all 'cause I could be back in that office bill collecting! (smile)

Anyway, just a quick note to tell you that HOUSE OF PAYNE is on everyday now, five days a week! So, check your local stations to see it. I am so proud of this show and how far it's come. I really am especially happy for Cassi and LaVan who had been knocking on doors for years trying to get a job in Hollywood. As talented as they are nobody would hire them. Now look at them! Thank you for making it the number one sitcom in cable history. So, for all of you who don't have cable and all of you who need to catch up you can see it now on regular TV five and sometimes 6 days a week.

I'm on my way to the Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless Foundation. For those of you who don't know, they are a food bank here in town. I saw a few days ago that they were out of food. Most of the food is going to poor and struggling families who are barely making it--a lot of single mothers. So, I'm sending a few truck loads of food and diapers and things like that over to them. I do a lot of things like this and I never talk about them because I don't believe that if you do something for someone you should be telling it on the rooftop. But, in this case, the reason I'm talking about this is because (and hear me here) PEOPLE we have got to get registered to vote! This country can't take another 4 years of this. I have never been a political person. I have lived in Atlanta for 15 years and have never registered to vote. I had never been moved to. I know the press is going to tear me apart for telling the truth here but, whatever! I just turned 39 (smile).

I, like a lot of people, thought that it wouldn't matter if I voted or not. They were going to do what they wanted to do anyway. That was so irresponsible of me, and I'm ashamed to even say it. But the truth of the matter is, a lot of people feel the same way that I do. I have to tell you, I WAS SO WRONG! Please get registered to vote. WE can change this country. People are starving and hungry and I heard John McCain say that the economy was in good shape. WHAT?!! Yeah it's in great shape if you're rich, but what about the people who are not rich? That's the attitude that we must get rid of.

It will be so great having a president in the White House who knows the true struggles of single mothers, who knows the true pains of real people. People who don't need a handout, but a JOB! People who don't want the government to pay their mortgage but they need a JOB to pay it themselves. So I'm proud to say I am now an active registered voter. And, if you're not, I hope you will become one too. Especially if you live in Michigan or Ohio. AND WE CANNOT FORGET FLORIDA! As a matter of fact I will be in Miami on Friday.

I ain't having that foolishness that we had a few years back down there in the great state of Florida. As a matter of fact, Madea is doing the ballot counting.....LOL

Those of you who have been getting my emails know that I have never done anything like this before. I respect your time. I don't sell your email address and I certainly don't take any money to send you an email. Not now nor will I ever. So you know this is important to me. As it should be important to us all. I'm voting for Obama.
