It May Take A While

It's funny how a song, a taste, a scent, or something as simple as a change in weather can trigger a memory. Certain times of year make me think about when I was homeless. Especially the winter. I started thinking about this one lady in particular who helped me out during that time. She was a good soul who saw me in need and gave me money and food. She didn't have much but what she had she shared out of the kindness of her heart. I told her that when I got successful I would pay her back. She smiled and said, "You don't have to pay me anything. I just felt led to help you."

I couldn't stop thinking about her the other day so I did some research and found her. Imagine her shock when I called her. She didn't even think that I remembered her. It's funny how something that was a small gesture to her was a huge blessing to me. As we went on talking, she reluctantly told me that she had just lost her job and was facing foreclosure. Of course, I did some things to help her out.

Why am I telling you this? I'm glad you asked. She gave to me out of the kindness of her heart. She gave to me from a pure place and expected nothing in return. The thing that brought tears to my eyes and blessed me so about this situation was this: this woman planted a seed in my life almost twenty years ago. But what she didn't know at the time was that the seed she planted would one day come back and bless her life just when she needed it most.

So what am I saying? I'm saying that if you are a giver of whatever you have... time, money, love, help, whatever it is... if you plant it in pureness it has got to come back to you. It may take a while but you will reap a harvest from that seed. Don't be weary in well-doing. It will come back to you. I know sometimes it may seem that all the good you do goes unnoticed by people, but if they don't notice, it doesn't matter. If they don't acknowledge your kindness, it does not matter. You know why? Because I promise you God sees it all and He is the only one that matters. And He is bound by His word, and that word says you will reap what you sow. So sow on, sow good seeds. They will grow and come back to you when you least expect it.

God bless you today.

Thank you for this encouragement. I, too, am a testament that if you faint not God will harvest that which you've sowed into good ground. I was blessed this week to pay off my car, received a promotion and a raise at work, and was offered a position at another company that pays more than what I make with my raise. God is great and greatly to be praised! By the way I bought both DVDs that came out this week and I love them!

God Ty You don't know the head space I was in. I was in denial of my mother's passing. She passed feb 12 but they prounced her gone on feb 13 2012. She is my bestfriend, and everything I told her of my plans are on course but what am I to do when they all come too and pass, I was thinking so hard about it and I cried and I dreamed of her. I said everyone needs a place to call home. My father and mother were murded but are in a better place. Here in this world is the people who took them from me for the love of another. They took my loves away or did they. I have them in me and that gaves me more power to love even harder. So for their selfiness I gained out of this world unconditional love. All I ever wanted to do was take care of my parents, I went to the medical field to prepair for their wisdom age. I have won that as well my heavenly father has the upper hand and released us. So you see what was meant to hurt me really made me stronger, my worst nightmares had gone away and placed in my heart for the good. No one can take away what is mine by fivine right. I am not alone, for I am love and have even more to give to the world, listen to me, hear my story, walk through the pain and recieve this love that the father has given to you through me. You all be blessed because if you don't feel loved, know that you are loved in more than one way.

Very touching story. Who knew that she would be blessed in that way. You were in need when she came through for you and she was in need at the very moment that you came through for her. Sounds like God to me.

I am faced with that decision to sow that 'invaluable' seed into my students' every day and how I wish I could reach out to all of them. Thank you so much for sharing this principle. I have also learnt that life happens one day at a time. God bless you Tyler.

Thank You, Mr. Perry I was just sitting starring at my computer thinking about the years of service I have rendered over a thirthy year period to mankind. Tired and discouraged at the lack of return seen on all of the service rendered. I went to bed saying to the Holy Spirit "I am tired". I was lead to open my twitter page and read your comments they were truly very encouraging. Thank again for the ray of hope. I heard the Holy Spirit say through your comment" be not weary in well doing for ye shall reap if you faint not".
