It May Take A While

It's funny how a song, a taste, a scent, or something as simple as a change in weather can trigger a memory. Certain times of year make me think about when I was homeless. Especially the winter. I started thinking about this one lady in particular who helped me out during that time. She was a good soul who saw me in need and gave me money and food. She didn't have much but what she had she shared out of the kindness of her heart. I told her that when I got successful I would pay her back. She smiled and said, "You don't have to pay me anything. I just felt led to help you."

I couldn't stop thinking about her the other day so I did some research and found her. Imagine her shock when I called her. She didn't even think that I remembered her. It's funny how something that was a small gesture to her was a huge blessing to me. As we went on talking, she reluctantly told me that she had just lost her job and was facing foreclosure. Of course, I did some things to help her out.

Why am I telling you this? I'm glad you asked. She gave to me out of the kindness of her heart. She gave to me from a pure place and expected nothing in return. The thing that brought tears to my eyes and blessed me so about this situation was this: this woman planted a seed in my life almost twenty years ago. But what she didn't know at the time was that the seed she planted would one day come back and bless her life just when she needed it most.

So what am I saying? I'm saying that if you are a giver of whatever you have... time, money, love, help, whatever it is... if you plant it in pureness it has got to come back to you. It may take a while but you will reap a harvest from that seed. Don't be weary in well-doing. It will come back to you. I know sometimes it may seem that all the good you do goes unnoticed by people, but if they don't notice, it doesn't matter. If they don't acknowledge your kindness, it does not matter. You know why? Because I promise you God sees it all and He is the only one that matters. And He is bound by His word, and that word says you will reap what you sow. So sow on, sow good seeds. They will grow and come back to you when you least expect it.

God bless you today.

Mr. Perry, Thank you so much for reminding me about doing good to others. I've lived to see my grandmother plant that type of seed by feeding the neighbour's children in Kingston, Jamaica. She has left such a good example in my life that it's now apart of me, surely goodness and mercy shall follow those who distribute kindness to others. I thank you Sir, keep on being an inspiration to us. God Bless you Real Good !!! I hope to see one day to talk on your show about sowing good seed.

My dear, Tyler....what a blessing you are and thank God for giving you to the world.. you are pure of heart for being so giving and never losing touch of the real thing, if you know what I mean. Although you didn't post this message to receive praise, I just had to response and let you know, there are only a few people in this world that know the true meaning to act in the spirit of God and being Christ like, just like the lady that helped you years prior. What a blessing it was for you to be able to locate her, God is GOOOOD ALL THE TIME!! I TELL YOU. Like you said it is not just the bigger things that count, but all those "small" acts of kindness that make a difference. You make me laugh when times are tough, thanks for being you ....your number 1 fan....can't wait for your new movie to come out!! God Bless you and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY:) XOXOXO

That story made me cry for several reasons. I love to give and I don't expect anything in return. However, my God is watching and I receive unexpected blessing all of the time. Whenever I am low my spirit is lifted by doing random acts of kindness. Thank you for sharing.

my brother mr tyler, people shuld give and give willing without expecting. as for me thats the way i approach it. you can sow into a person's life somewhere somehow, God is protecting your family because of you. your brother is safe from accident or gets that job because of the seed you sown. giving is a virtue everybody should pray to have.dont give so that the world will notice you. you have given in public and the praises of men are your reward. give even when men dont see you. and we happy u are not the needy. in future even if you directly to you, evenn if not in money, your reward from God will never pass you by. thanks for sharing mr tyler

Hi Tyler A quick question, for years I have been struggling to make it as a writer. Of course, I have confidence in myself and believe that the things that I write are good. writing is a passion to me. I love it. I would do it 24 hours a day. If I had the time Yet no one else seems to think that way. seems like you have to know somebody or be friends with somebody or have a friend who knows somebody in order to even get a book published. What is one supposed to do ? I thought about doing the self-publishing thing.that would costs am arm and a leg in which I don't have . I am at the end of my rope, Tell me, what is the secret. I have the faith I have the talent, but I just can't seem to get my work out. tell me what did you do? How long did it take you to get your work out there. I mean, of course, your successful you produce a lot of wonderful productions and I enjoy everything that you put out. I need a word of encouragement because I am at my ropes end. I am about to thown my hands up and say to forget about. I been trying and trying, trying to get my work out there. It just seems like there's no market for the type ideas that I have what do you do when you have done it all. I feel like give up, so do I discontinue the dream or hold on. I appreciate if you can give me an answer. Thank you very much for your time.
