It's Been a Rough 12 Days...

I’ll keep this short and sweet because it's been a rough 12 days for me, with what would have been my mother’s 67th birthday one day and the awful news about Whitney the next. I can’t even think about it... we’ll talk about that some other time, but for now I just want to be sure you’re planning on going to the movie theaters to see GOOD DEEDS this weekend.

GOOD DEEDS opens tomorrow, Friday February 24th, everywhere. It’s the opening weekend box office numbers that count in Hollywood. That is how they judge you, so if you can make it to the theaters this weekend, please do so. I never ever take for granted that you are automatically going to show up, but I tell you, I thank God that you do. I’m hoping that this time is no different.

I gotta say, this is a different kind of role for me, but it felt good to try something different. You know that there are many people who think I can only do Madea. As much as we love her you and I both know better than that. This is the first time I have ever played a character that is this close to who I am as a man and as a person.

I think you’re going to love it. GOOD DEEDS is going to make you smile, laugh and think, and at the end you’re going to leave lifted and feeling good.

A friend of mine, who has always been honest with me, told me that this is my best movie yet. Tell me what you think. I’ll be on Facebook and my message board all weekend long waiting for the true critics to speak, and that’s you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Love you and know that I appreciate you so much,

Tyler

I saw this movie last night with my boo and we both loved the movie. You really flexed your acting and producer muscle on this one. It was a real feel good movie. Your characters had depth, I laughed, cried and cried some more. This movie had so many different layers of emotions and still managed to feel current with it's economic tone. Definitely made for a nice conversation piece. Your movies always relay a positive message. Love it TP, Keep these movies coming.

Mr. Perry: I loved your movie. What a great storyline, it was unpredictable, funny, moving, and powerful. Every character was rich and multi-facted. I'm an African American male journalist, and can spot bad writing or a weak storyline a mile away. Your latest work is truly your best. Keep it up the good work, I'm sure opening weekend will be a huge success for your 'Good Deeds'.. DD.

I really enjoyed this movie it was very touching, because it brought back some memories of some of the things I went thru with my kids and the struggles that I had but no one there to help me thru them had to do that on my own. See I was a only child and my mother died when I was in my early twenties. Me and my children lived in my car and went to a shelter. I did cry on some of the parts that I could relate to. People don't know your struggles and what life can bring if they have never experienced it or understand everyone's child hood is not the same. WE need to care a lot more. GREAT JOB TYLER PERRY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

I was invited out to see the movie with the women of my mothers church of opening night. And I have to tell everyone that we all loved it. The movie made me think about how I have been living my life and what really matters. If you have not seen it please go and see it is turly a wonderful story. We need more movies like this on the big screen and we won't get them if we don't put our money behind our requests.
