I've Heard You! Now's Your Chance!

For a long time now, people have been asking me how they can be in one of my movies, plays or TV shows. Even as I read through my message board, the most popular question I see is, "How can I be in one of your movies?"

So… this one's for YOU! Now's your chance to earn a walk on role in one of my upcoming productions!

Just enter the Tyler Perry Talent Search!

I've created this competition to give my entire online family a chance to showcase their talent, and I expect to see some future stars. Even better, you'll be responsible for picking the Top 10 finalists. That's right… you get to vote for your favorite videos! Then, I'll personally choose the winner from your Top 10.

The competition starts NOW, so click HERE and follow steps 1, 2 & 3 to participate.

Voting closes and the Top 10 will be announced on June 29th – the same day MADEA'S WITNESS PROTECTION hits theaters.

Then, I'll personally choose the winner on July 6th.

Good luck!

Hello Tyler Perry Casting, I would like to say it was such an honor to have a one on one with your casting director Kim Williams at the actorsfest in Michigan. Not to mention working as a feature with you in Alex Cross. I am exited about your video audition contest and I cant wait to work with you again on set! I have uploaded my monologue

My entry was submitted almost three days ago and it's not showing up yet. I sent a message to the TPS YouTube account asking if there was a problem with my video. Other people have come here and asked what the holdup is, as well. Nobody has received a reply. This is a contest based on votes, and the longer it takes for our videos to show up in the viewing gallery, the more potential votes we lose. These delays could cost someone their place in the top ten, which are the only videos that you (Tyler Perry) are going to watch and pick the winner from. So, these delays are so not cool.

Maaan, Tyler Perry werry, you are so wrong for this one....again. I know you mean well/trying to help and I thought about doing it, but I said heck that. I refuse to compete with hundreds to maybe millions of people in hopes of being on your top ten list just for you to pick one winner to only walk on a roll of your movie or sitcom. I likes ya Tyler, but I'm not that desperate to be recognized for just a short amount of time. I believe that if it's really meant for me to be on any of your sitcoms/movies, I wouldn't have to audition because it would be like if you ever see me you would know that, bam! I am the one to not only play a small part, but a big part in them. If not meant to be, oh well, I can accept that, as always, and with that being said, good luck to all the rest but I rather not waste my time on this offer either. No offense, thanks a burnch, but, no thanks a burnch. Huuggz?

Hi Tyler, glad to know that you've taken some time off for your self. Recently, I listened to an interview you did about four years ago where you talked about not knowing how being married would work for you, since you work 18 hours a day and like your own space. well, while it's good to work hard you need to make time to take care of yourself: by eating healthy and doing exercise. Sitting for long hours can lead to a number of illnesses including diabetes. Remember, money is good, but it does not always buy you good health. Love always, vee

Hello Mr. Perry, let me start by saying that I love your movies and stages plays. For me when I watch your movies I feel as though you are sharing a piece of yourself with the world. I have always had dreams of having the opportunity to act, and if that opportunity ever came for me I would hope it would be in one of your productions. Thank you for being you, I have a great respect and admiration for you. I have never auditioned for anything before, but I gues there is a first for everything. God bless you in all that you do. Your Biggest Fan DeShana M.

First off i want to thank you for the oppertunity, i just recently graduated high school and i was accepted into the art institute of atlanta, they didint have my major (theatre) so i settled for advertising and and marketing, for a couple of week now i have been discouraged and not 100% pleased with my decision, all my life acting has been my passion number 1, so i went to a friends house the other day and his grandmother who is a pastor asked each of us graduates "now what?" and i replied" well i got in at the art institute and i geuse ill major in marketing and advertisement" as soon as i had said that she shut me down and said "you geuss? why settle for what society says you need to do and why not follow your heart" & might i remind you i had been contemplating my decisions thinking long and hard about everything, so after she told me that i just thanked god because i felt like that was a direct messgae from him and i shared that with my friend and he kinda just shrugged it off, so the next morning i do my early morning ritua get up brush my teeth check face book and check my email, I received an email from the Tyler Perry studios which i usually do because i subscribe to them and it was about a talent search i immeadtly got pumped and excited because i felt this was a direct blessing so i got up picked my hair out and put on some clothes read the instructions and performed my peice, my video still isint showing up on the audition tapes section which mean i havent been able to obtain any votes yet, but its ok because throughtout this whole experince i learned dont ever put off what you love for something you like, my teacher told me before i graduated she said " with retirement going up you can either go to college get a degree and end up making money and doing a job you just like for the next 40 50 years or you can apply and dedicate yourself to your passion and dreams and do something you love doing for the next 40 50 years" ive always held that dear to me, so i now we come to the reason of me posting this not to win popularity not to get anyone attent and not to complain or derail anyone this is a way for me to say thank you thank you for the blessing and the oppertunity. demani. *sorry about the typos and grammatical errors.

I didn't even need to read all the comments to see that its pure ignorance on the behalf of what are supposed to be full grown adults mind you i'm 21. Since when do we have limitations on what color you have to be to be in front of a camera? The last time I checked it was 2012 and they're aren't any people of all races backgrounds creed colors shapes and its definitely a one size fits all. I'm sure that had he chosen any of you'll you would have no words to say. You really need to find out who you are and realize that your not God you haven't the right to judge its not up to you unless you were there helping Tyler Perry before he was Tyler Perry the producer song writer actor and the list continues then what right do you posses to say such things?
