Sorry This Took Me A Few Days

Y'all know I have to go get some rest after these crazy press tours.

Well, let me first say "thank you" to those of you who went to see The Single Moms Club. I don't take that for granted. Trust me. Thank you for going.

This was my 17th movie in 10 years. I wanted to mark this anniversary by saluting single moms everywhere. Thank you for allowing me to do that, and thank you to all the single moms for all you do. You're my heroes. And to all my diehard folks, to all of you, thank you for these past ten years of huge movie successes. You have been a blessing to me and to all the people who work for me, and with me. I thank you.

By the way, this is the first time in 10 years that I don't already have my next movie written or shot and ready to come out. That is because my focus for this past year has been on my TV shows on OWN. Just so you know, that's where you'll find me until I do another movie.

God bless you big time for all you've done for me and for the folks that work for me. We so appreciate it.

I'll see you in TV land on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Dear Tyler, I am sorry for any misunderstandings that I had about you. I hope that we can start up a new line of communication to discuss our religious beliefs and practices. Sincerely, Delilah White

At last I watched the Single Mom's Club! Brilliantly done! Tyler, I like the way you bring real life situations alive! We see those single women around us all the time, but do we really know what they go through behind close doors. Job Promotions they denied because they have "too many responsibilities at home..." raising children while working full time is hard, but being a single parent must be way harder. Great movie. Keep up the good work.

Good Morning Tyler, I have been a fan since your first play, I was living in Dallas at the time and was fortunate enough to get a ticket for mothers day and attend my first play. I am writing to you because I am a single mother of 5 children, and have been since my youngest was 4 years old. I became a single mother when I found out my husband was sexually violating my children. I don't want to go into detail or put all my business out there on the web, but I will say that I have been blessed with the 5 children I have, they have all with the exception on 1, 2 have received their college degrees and 2 are in the process it hasn't been easy but we have managed. What I am writing about is the 1 child that I have tried everything with, such as therapy, therapy programs, a tremendous amount of support from state and local agencies, he is 20 now and is still not doing well. He is very intelligent, good with his hands and a wonderful artist but still hasn't been able to get his life together. He has suffered in a much different way than my other 4 children and I don't know what to do any suggestions?

I wrote you the other day. I believe I have the next movie that will not only be a blockbuster but will change the game and impact our community as well. I believe its a message that only you can help to send. Me, im a regular gal....average, working mom way too far from Hollywood but just trying to make it like anyone else. I just want to have this story told, kinda whisper it in your ear so to speak. I dont know how often you read these or even if you respond but I will keep trying until you do. Love your works, Im a huge fan. Keep inspiring

I must admit. When I read that the abuser was not Tyler's real father I said: good riddance to that bad apple, but also wondered whether Tyler will try to find his real father. Tyler are you going to look for your real dad? Maybe not now but in the near future? .
