Description:

Sparks fly when Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples annual reunion in the Hamptons to ask for their precious daughter Grace's (Kerry Washington) hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish-out-of-water among this seemingly perfect East Coast clan, but he's not about to let himself flounder. Instead, in a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious surprises, Wade is about to discover there's more room for all kinds of Peeples in this family, no matter their differences. Writer and first-time director Tina Gordon Chism (writer of DRUMLINE) joins forces with Tyler Perry to present a laugh-out-loud look at the family ties that freak us out... but bind us together with love.

Hi Mr. Tyler. I went to see the movie Peebles today and for the first time I have to say I did not like it. I have seen all of your plays and never missed any of your movies. I have always supported your work. But today I was really disapodisappointed in that movie. Tyler for the first time I actually got up in the middle of that movie and my husband and we left the movie. That is some of your worst work! I always expected more from you. That was not worth the money we paid to see it. I have always left positive comments on your work but today I could not do that but that is my opinion. Your movies are starting to be boring and so predictable but today it just did not do it for me..

By the way Tyler it was only 8 people in the movie theatre to see the movie only 8 and that is very unusual. It just did not seem right! So that must be telling you somethinI am use to seeing sold out movies.

I woke up this morning and wanted to leave a reply and tried to think of the best way to put it and I say Debbie's reply and that hit it on the nail. My wife and I also almost walked out, but we kept hoping it would get better. It did not. The plot just did not do it for me. And also, the strangest thing is that the theater had it running every hour as they usually do when movies are so popular and the theater we were in only had two people in it ---at 7pm!!! I just cannot think of anything positive to say at all, besides the fact that it had your name on it and I do my best to support all that you do and have done. It is your fault (LOL) Tyler for setting the bar so high for yourself by the success of your other productions (movies and plays) that we all have come to expect better from you. If you were not so good in what you have done before, then that would explain this bad showing. But, let's move on to the next one!!! I am still a trooper and will be with you!!!

I agree with Ken and Debbie Polk. I was looking forward to seeing The Peeples and was disappointed from the start. I walked out of the movie and got my money back. The plot for me was lacking and I didn't like the song "Speak it. Don't leak it". I hope you can take this constructively. I think you are a talented person and I just don't want you to loose your focus. I am sitting write now and I am watching "I Can Do Bad All By Myself" as we speak and I think you did an incredible job with this movie. I am still a fan and like Ken said, let's movie on to the next movie!

Well if you've seen the movie then you will know that Tyler Perry did not write this movie, he only produced it and directed it I believe. He was helping a lady to get her movie writing job up to part. At least I understand you voicing your opinion, but you don't have to bring him down while you'r talking about it. Mr. Perry hasn't disappointed me yet, and I know he probably won't. But don't come at him as if he did something wrong.

Can't wait to go see this movie with my cousin and have a good laugh! I bet the movie is great, and I bet it was sold out completely in Georgia when it first came out. Can't wait to see what happens next with Tyler Perry (and hopefully, we get to see Madea again!)

Mr Perry, Wow you truly are incredible! Peeples was very well written an executed I truly enjoyed the characters and the overall production! I had made a post a few weeks ago and and am still anxious for your reply! Just a refresher, I am a senior in college and have been blessed with the opportunity to continue my education in Australia at the University of Western Sydney. I am financially unable to fund it alone, however I am not asking for a handout I am only asking for support, prayer, and advice on how to reach my goal in such a short time! Just as when you come out with a new movie and have faith it will be successful I have faith that God will continue to bless me as we'll as allow me to be a blessing to others and I too will be successful in this endeavor and many more to come! I thank you for being an inspiration to me and I wish you an abundance of future successes!

Dear Mr. Tyler Perry You are incredibly intelligent man that i really appreciate watching all of you movies. Thank you and your great team for creating such joy and laugher. You always say do not let setbacks and disappointment discourage you. Well i am really interested in playing in one of your movies. I am hoping you will give me that opportunity. I have a great idea for a good movie. It's about a homeless women that was sleeping in a door way for eight years. But with the help of a nun she got her life back again. It is a great recovering story. It is an amazing story that i would love to work with you on. Please give me that change. You're in charge! Looking forward to hearing back from you real soon. My Love and prayers, Lorraine

I know what you have been praying for. I saw you in the spirit praying, siting at a table of some sort early this year . Now I do have to be careful for what I post here . I not really good at keeping up with all the movies , but a great move of God is on the way. I see your studios expand though out the country, making hollywood like small, I even see you here in the bay area , Califorina. You are a mover, shaker, world history, and changer. You just don't know man I don't you heard me . I will leave this saying as a mark from me,I 'm about my father from heaven buiness and you will know me.

Tina Gordon Chism did an awesome job in her Directorial debut and Writing of the movie "Peeples"!!! Wow...I Laughed from Beginning to End (Literally)!!! I am so glad TP helped her with her first of many movies, so she will know everything from A to Z as to what to do and what not to do in this industry. He is such a good role model for up & coming writers & directors. I look forward to her future films and hope she makes them even lengthier as this one was only an hour & a half. Can't wait for the DVD to be Released in September!!! :))

Mr. Perry, Wow! Where do I begin. You are just amazing and phenomenal at your craft. I'm such a big fan of yours and make it my business to see your movies the first weekend they come out. Thank you for all you do for our black actors and actresses. You give everybody the chance to display their talents and without you their roles would continue to be limitless. I wish I could just shake yor hand and say job well done. Keep doing what you do at representing us. YOU'RE THE MAN, MR.PERRY!!!!!!

It is wonderful that you took time to contact me to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. I pray that I have one but my mother is not here anymore and I miss her more and more. I haven't seen the movie yet but I am looking forward to doing so. I know it is great as all of your other movies. I have a collection of everyone of them that have come out for sale. I keep them in my bedroom so no one can see them and ask to borrow one. Thanks for all that you do to keep your people uplifted, inspired, and especially making us laugh. Again, thanks Tyler
