Description:
The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.
A bold exploration of the intrigue and perils of infidelity, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a compelling love story that dives straight into the heart of obsessive passion. "It's about a woman who starts to get restless in her relationship and her choice to be with another man has a huge effect on the rest of her life," explains screenwriter/producer/director Tyler Perry. "She goes on a journey - in her career and in her marriage - and she ends up in a very different place than she expected." In a departure from his previous dramas, this explosive film finds Perry exploring the nature of desire - and just how powerful and dangerous a taste of the forbidden can be. "This is definitely one of the most provocative movies - sexually and otherwise - that I've made," says the director. "There are a lot people who struggle in their relationships. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don't step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they're doing. This movie asks, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' It sends up a flag."

Hey Tyler, how are you doing. I know you are all smiles right now. I hope you got my last post about knowing that God got your back. I am sad right now because I haven't gotten a chance to see your movie yet. I am going to keep it real with you. I told my kids this madea show wasn't for them. So they wanted to see G.I. Joe. Well I was going to go and see Temptation while they go and see their show with there dad. Well, my youngest son said mommy I want you to go with us, my oldest son said mommy its okay you can go see Tyler Perry movie. They didn't look so happy about me not going with them so I went in with them, since the last couple of times it was just them and their dad. I had to do the motherly thing and put them first. Been trying to get someone to go with me who haven't seen it yet. That's okay I might be going to see it by myself. It happens like that sometimes when you have kids. I know that weekend is very important , but you score high with the rest of us from Chicago. I am always happy for you, Oh I see you and Oprah are doing it with flavor, yes, you keep climbing, I see billionare in the making, Your blessed and highly favor. keep keeping the Lord first and watch you groooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.(smile)

Dear Sandra, If I were still living up in the Chicago area, I would gladly take the train from the suburbs just so that you could have someone to go with to see this film. It is one of the MUST see ones, that I feel is even more powerful thaan ":For Colored Girls", which you know was deep. God will direct just the right person for you to go to see this movie with and take your kleenix. It's one film you shouldn't miss, of course any of Tyler's movies are ones to not miss if you can afford to go. I'm still waiting for Tyler to come to Bradenton or Sarasota, FL, with his new play since I don't have transportation to get to Atlanta, GA. where his newest play, "Madea Gets A Job", is playing at the Fox Theatre. God Bless Sandra and I'll pray you get to see this film soon. Pat P.

This was one of your best movies yet. And what I love about your movies is that you delve in real situations and that's what makes your movies so real to life. These kinds of things happen in real life. Absolutely an excellent movie.

Hey Tyler, You keep getting better and better! It is just amazing. From what I saw, it gave me preventive measures to keep me on the right track in a relationship. You know just the characters to put together to make a great movie. Amazing! This is your ministry. I once heard a renowned preacher say that a good(God inspired) preacher and message reaches the rich, the poor, and everybody in between (my version). That's what I see in your movies and plays. This is definitely your ministry. To God be the glory. Keep on keeping on! Charlene

just saw my lift on the big screen and in color. It has been over 25yrs. that i left a good man for one who was no good for me. i stayed with this man for three yrs. because i found out that , he was HIV+ and had passed it on to me. I was blessed to move have on from this man and to learn howto stand on my own two feet. three years later God had put another good man into my life who has accepted me HIV and all. this year we will be married for 17 yrs. i always wanted to tell other woman my story so that would not make the same mistake that i did. Thank you Tlyer Perry for telling it for me.

Oh, I forgot to ask for something. Can you add an editor, spellcheck and/or the ability to cut and paste so I can clean up my messages before I submit it? Lord knows I can do better! LOL.

Tyler Perry: I can't seem to get enough of you today. I got the email and watched the clip about Madea and Sofia. what a crack up! Then I went to your website, noticed the Google Talk session and watched it. Everyone should see it. Loved your interaction with your fans. They asked great questions and you offered such meaningful answers. I like the tree analogy, 80/20 rule with a twist and how God's voice guides your life! You also mentioned that your mother had nothing, but it turns out that she gave you something more valuable than money or gold! Thank God over and over for your Mom and her wisdom. So, I just turned on The Steve Harvey Show and there you are again! It is so great to see you laughing and having a good time with Steve and his audience. I must say that the promotion for Temptation has been excellent. I noticed that you have tried some new promotion strategies and they are reallying paid off!!! Oh, Yes, I watched the movie last weekend. So much has already been said so I will just say that what I appreciate most is having the opportunity to witness the evolution of a bad decision because now I get the opportunity to make a better choice. Thank you for this and all of your hard work. It's working!

Although I enjoyed the movie, we could have went without seeing or hearing from Kim Kardasian. I felt you should have focused in on the husband and his lack of sensitive and not being intune with his wife as much as her desiring to want more from her marriage and her husband. As always I enjoy your plays, movies, and themes. Keep allowing God to use you. Be blessed.

I have to say while I understand the message to an extent I have to disagree. It's almost as if the movie focused on putting the blame on one person. It takes two to make a marriage fall, not just one person. And the use of HIV as "punishment" is troubling.
