Description:
The film tells the story of Judith, an Ivy League-educated relationship expert who makes her living dispensing marital advice, but is so bored with her own marriage that she breaks her professional code and cheats with a smooth talking client only to realize she has made a huge mistake.
A bold exploration of the intrigue and perils of infidelity, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor is a compelling love story that dives straight into the heart of obsessive passion. "It's about a woman who starts to get restless in her relationship and her choice to be with another man has a huge effect on the rest of her life," explains screenwriter/producer/director Tyler Perry. "She goes on a journey - in her career and in her marriage - and she ends up in a very different place than she expected." In a departure from his previous dramas, this explosive film finds Perry exploring the nature of desire - and just how powerful and dangerous a taste of the forbidden can be. "This is definitely one of the most provocative movies - sexually and otherwise - that I've made," says the director. "There are a lot people who struggle in their relationships. They make bad choices about their marriages. They get divorced. And so many of them don't step out of their situation and really think about the consequences of what they're doing. This movie asks, 'Are you sure you want to do this?' It sends up a flag."

I saw the movie today and was enjoying it, especially, the twist with Brandy's character. BUT THEN, all of that was blown to bits with the last 5 minutes of the movie. Why couldn't you have left well enough alone. The ending wasn't believable because you wanted the moviegoer to be so impacted by the moral lesson that it screwed up the ending. You went too far by changing the actors. Brandy's character remained/looked the same but you want the moviegoer to believe the new actress was the old Judith. People change but did she have to become a sad, bible-toting spinster. And why was it necessary to age Judith's husband so much. Fire the makeup artist who did his makeup - they did a horrible job. I felt like the movie never reached it's true ending.

I thought the movie was very truthful, I think our young people should go see it, it will give them something to think about. Once you make a bad choice, you may not be able to correct it. Keep up the good work, Tyler, by the way I think Kim Kardashian was the perfect choice for the part she played, because it seems that is probably the way she really is.

Wow, wow, wow! You done did it again Mr. TP. Touching on soul mates, you must be one of mine...kindred spirits. This movie is very timely. I waited on purpose to go tonight (Saturday, date nights) with my wonderful husband of 18 years. We've been together for 26 years this year, my high school sweetheart. This have I learned, to never say never again. I thought I was above this type of temptation I guess, but something was missing. I was her about two years ago, still healing...the other guy is too. Boy I have a story to tell, don't we all. Most of it is something to be shared personally. I wish I can hug you sooooo hard in person. I love your person, your realness as a brother from another mother :). This stuff is real...the deep, deep, deep pit of sexual and emotional fulfillment that especially we women crave. This movie is a" come clean" reality check one two for wives and others who struggle with temptation to fulfill that, like you said 20% void. Much more for some. You really hit the target for me my brother with this one. I was the one who never thought this kind could shake or move me. I was wrong. The lesson still unfolds to this day. I was put to the test recently seeing him again in the awesome ATL. I love that place. The last time, we almost fell all the way physically....SO GREATFUL it didn't go that far!!! Yet temptation leaves it's ugly scars...so painful, so deep. It is a very powerful allurement of the soul, it is fun and yet so dangerous. All I can say if you know better, WATCH and PRAY! Be careful not to WATCH and PLAY, especially with emotions. This I know, that He (GOD) will make a way of escape always, He remains faithful that has promised. Sorry for the long comment, I love to write :) I soooo "Thank You" again Mr. TP for so boldly and courageously walking the walk and talking the talk for such a time as this. ~FP~

Hi Tyler, I haven't seen the movie yet, but of course have been seeing the previews on tv and one of my boyfriends says I got to see this movie. I was with my other boyfriend last night and we were talking about it and he said he wanted to go see it. And tonight I'm supposed to be with my third boyfriend and after reading all the comments I think I will suggest that we go see it. Now tomorrow I will be spending time with my husband and I really want to ask him if he would take the time to go with me to see it. Now after saying all of that what do you think? Well just wait til after I see the movie and I will get back with you, because this is my life and because of this one man (husband) is the reason why I am in the condition I'm in now with all these men in my life none of them are satisfying to me. Oh I forgot my other boyfriend who is HIV. As you can see my life is a total mess. I need help. But I will get back with you after I see the movie to see if this is the one that will help me. Be blessed and I love all the work you do. Di

My Dear Mr. Perry, I have supported and purchased every movie you have written, directed and starred in. The main reason is I can discuss and watch with my children, grandchildren, and other family members and have a discussion about the storyline and what each actor brings to the story. I try not thing to judge others and everyone is entitled to their opinion so here is mine I will not be supporting Temptation as I have your previous movies. Kim is not a person I am at all interested in getting to know. Everything I know about her is negative and she profits from it. There is something written about this woman EVERYDAY! She is a terrible role model for ANY young woman but she just loves attention. So for this reason, I'm going pass and wait for your next movie.

Mr. Perry, Ditto, Joan! I became a TP fan, way before he made it to International Stardom. Going to see his plays, seeing his plays on bootleg VHS tapes until now. I always tried my best to see his movies during the 1st weekend, to boost him and now, he has resorted to Kim Kardashian, when there are soooo many Black Actresses no where to be seen on the big screen. I will pass on this one, and see it Bootleg. Hopefully for him, because I do respect him, Kim and her many followers will make up for the absence of those who have made the decision to pass on this. See ya next go round! I believe in putting my money where my mouth is. More of us should do the same.
