    Seriously Tyler.....that was jacked up how you chose to end the show!!! Who does that??? I can see ending a "season" that way....BUT THE WHOLE SITCOM!!! I can see the network not caring about treating the fans that way.....but you ?!? Wow....I am truly disappointed. Just so you know....no I don't watch "a lot" of TV...but this show really touched me...to end it was upsetting enough....to end it the way you did, made it worse....but to end it and then try to pacify us by offering a show that doesn't even come close to the class and style of "House Of Payne" is truly ridiculous!! ....again I would expect something like that from the network....but not you! I will truly miss Ms Ella, Mr Curtis, C.J, Janine, Calvin and Miranda!! I truly hope another network picks this show up.... Disappointed....Fan

      Ok well really... Im upset too but really calm your underwear. He may make some hints or something in the new show To God Be The Glory, starring Patrice Lovely and Palmer E. Williams. It's coming so calm down......... YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ANYWAY. :)

      I agree with you completely and share your annoyance. i feel short-changed. And we are entitled to our opinions and to share them. it's what the message boards are for.

      I totally agree. Tyler, All of your episodes has been based on one thing "Hope". That through all of the struggles, disappointments, pain, heartache, etc. There is still hope that things will turn around for the good. That things will get better. In this final episode where is the hope, where is the possibility for things to get better. I know it's a sitcom, but for many it ministers to their situation and renew hope in them again. Hopefully, there will be some resolution to the finale. But if not, I know that you did all you can for your fans and you will continue to produce more great shows and movies that will touch or hearts. God Bless!

      I agree 100%, no only did you leave us hanging (which would've made a FANTASTIC season finale), but you left the show, on a bad point. All's Well? No all is not well! I agree with the last comment as well, every situation the Paynes go through; the fire, Janine's addiction, Calvin being shot, and so many more; it always turned out fine in the end. But this, is the farthest thing from fine, and makes a horrible series finale! I really hope you consider a spin-off series to this, or at least a movie extending on this. I understand you're busy with For Better or Worse, but believe me, It would not be a tragedy if you cancelled or left that show! I tried to watch it and get into it, but as hard as I tried, I couldn't! I really hope you can consider this, and I pray you do. House of Payne is the best show on TV! Because it's funny, heartwarming, It keeps you hanging on to your seat, and most importantly it includes God, which is very rare for a show now-a-days.

      First let me say that I love(!) everything that your hands touch! All your stage plays, movies and t v shows, especially the Paynes. I never miss an episode! I even look forward to the "repeats" because to me it's liking looking at each one for the first time. And when I really enjoy a movie or tv show that's how it affects me! It's just that d*** good! But the way the Paynes went off the air left me a little bit confused. I really couldn't figure out if it was the end of the "season" or the end of the"show"! I could see so much into other episodes coming out of that one episode. The "Paynes" epitomize everything that todays' black folk experience because there are so many of us out there can relate more to them than the "Crosby" show. There are more of us out there that do not have the opportunity to have those kind of professional jobs. We are just "everyday" folks trying to make it as best we can! From the episode where "foreclosure" was involved to becoming addicted to our prescription medicines. For us that are just trying to keep a roof over our heads and making that dollar to make ends meet. And especially the way "Ms. Ella" in particular give all the power and glory to "GOD". There are so many shows out there that leave out the almighty father. Can you see what I'm trying to say, "Mr. Tyler". That show reflected everything to us. (me)!! I wish you all the "BEST" in your future endeavors. And as a Tyler Perry fan; I will look forward to anything and everything you touch!!! One other thing. I have said this before in other comments! I just love the "commoraderie" that you having in using the same actors and actresses in your shows, plays and movies. Whitney's daughter, Kristina, was just great. I hope you can find something else for her!!

      Hello Mr. Perry I agree that of all the shows on TV, I anticipate House of Payne the most. Every season I know what I am going to watch. As much as I enjoy my vacations with family, I also can hardly wait to get back home to watch the episodes of House of Payne that are waiting on my DVR recordings. Its a show that gives us hope to keep on standing tall. Ms. Ella and Uncle Curtis keep us in check. They give so much insight on how a family should s**** together no matter what. It left a bad taste that is the ending. Your fans need closure and this ending was not that. I don't know if the actors have other things lined up or bad feelings were there or people have problems but we need to know what is going on with this show. I love all the plays and the shows and the movies but House of Payne is the BEST of the BEST and should continue to have new episodes after your long needed rest. Maybe go to your fans and ask for suggestions on possible show. I know I have a story to tell as do many of us. Maybe its just me venting but we NEED a House of Payne on TV. Positive role models and family members who are more that just typical people. Lots of luck and I pray that you reconsider on this one.

      I have to agree 100%. Mr. Perry, you talk a lot about how you value your fans and what they mean to you, but I think the way you ended this series was speaks volumes. We, your fans, became invested in these characters and this show, supporting you and the work you do, and this is how you end it. And it wasn't just the series finale episode that makes me take a step back. Throughout this series, Miss Ella's faith and wisdom has been the grounding force in this family and an example to the viewing audience, but in the last couple of episodes you made her faith and dependence on the Lord look like foolish babblings with the way Curtis and Calvin flippantly blew her off and disrespected her. It is almost like you were trying to tell your fans something indirectly. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but those last couple of episodes were so drastically different from the entire series that it made me take a pause. Either way, I think you disrespected your fans with how you ended this series. All of these years supporting this show and this is what you give your fans? Remember, it was because of your fans that this show enjoyed as many seasons as it did. It was my favorite show up until the end. Disappointing.

      Hello My Brother in Christ: My husband and I were very shocked to hear, during the commercial break, "the last show ever", was announced. We really enjoyed watching this show on Friday evenings when we returned home from our Friday evenining service. It was a good wind down for us to enjoy. I know shows can't last forever, but we could have had a heads up! Not to mention, the last show was a let down. I will miss the Payne Family and will have to watch reruns again for now till I am over them. Your new sitcom, starring Tasha Smith is a bit too much for me and although I have enjoyed her in the "Why Did I Get Married" movies, I do not choose to watch her every week. It's too much of her month. Please continue to search for God to speak to you in your endeaver in producing. I like what you are doing and where you are going. Just don't get off the past of how you got there and don't leave the umbrella of God's covering. Always listen for His voice. God bless you my Brother. Deacon Kim Lord

      HOP is one of my favorite shows too. I seriously doubt that TP intended to end the entire series this way. If I had to guess who was behind the cancellation I would venture to say that it was the network TBS. This is not the first time that these networks have given our shows a platform and we have helped them to get their network on the map only to have them yank the show after they have made a name for themselves and launched other shows. Now don't get me wrong, I appreciate these networks for giving us a chance but look at what happened on UPN & The CW with Girlfriends and The Game (I'm just saying). HOP was still bringing in very high ratings and had a very large and loyal fan base. One thing that I have come to know about Mr. Perry over the years is that he cares very deeply about his fans. He also seems to be very cognizant about giving his fans a positive message through his work so again I don't believe that TP would have ended this Series this way if he had know that it was going to be cancelled. I feel the same is true for Meet the Browns. Maybe there's still hope. I have heard that there may be something in the works on the OWN network! We have seen other shows change to other networks and do very well, so maybe there will be more HOP episodes before it is all said and done. I think he knows we want more and we would support him ALL THE WAY!

      I agree this was and is one show I truly love I truly hope and pray someone pickes this up to continue the story where it left off. I am truly disappointed right now to find out that this show will not be coming back on and for it to end the way it did you should really consider continuing the show where will we ever find another Curtis
