Dear Mr. Perry, Wh4n I saw the previews for the Have and Have Not show, I wanted to watch it because I adore John Schneider. But the more I thought about it, I wondered if you were purposely are trying to inflame the tenuous relations between blacks and whites. Although I understand that controversy draws attention which, in turn, brings money ane power but to use the stereotypez of whites being the powerful yet dysfunctional (thus bad) and blacks being the subservient but righteous (thus good) can only be harmful. I would be interested in hearing your opinions and reasoning, if you don't mind. Drama and the wish for a good story are understandable but I'm concerned about the ideology thar blackz are always victimized by whites. Thank you, Jennifer

Oh lord , don't take this c*** so seriously it happens more than you know. I am from the south and we still have domestics here, I still see black women everyday still waiting at the bus stop to go and work in white homes. Also unless I am mistaken there is also a white domestic in this drama as well. Just enjoy it or don't watch ..Please don't try and read anything else into this..

Well my dear truth is stranger than fiction. Tyler does not to fan the flames of racism and bigotry because they are alive and well in this country. Absolutely, there is dysfunction in most families these days because of materialism. The Haves and the Have Nots have always opposed one another. it's a simple equation in social stratification. There is always a winner and a loser. Fortunately we have examples of the Haves in people such as Oprah and Tyler Perry.
