With all due respect, the plot is very good but the acting is terrible. The actors all seem so stiff and unprepared for their lines. The only actor that seems experienced is son of the maid, his acting is believable. Check out Eva Longorias Devious Maids, they are all very good actresses which makes it easier to connect with their characters. Maybe she can help give some pointers otherwise I can see this series being cut short.

@ Lisa, Girl bye with that. The show is a serial-drama (soap opera) that's how the characters act in that genre. They're not stiff, it's just a different pace. Furthermore, in high society the mannerisms are very demure and less animated. Sorry, but you will not see finger popping nor neck rolling coming from the Judge Harrington's and Judge Cryer's families. Even the maid is dignified who is played by acclaimed actress Crystal Fox. The cast is excellent and the acting is on point.

Lisa, I was totally agree with you. John Schneider is really the only one that can truly act. The storyline is fabulous, but the deliveries are pretty bad. However, I truly enjoy this show. What Tyler has done is put struggling actors (with the exception of Schneider) back to work. I applaud him for that. The acting sort of reminds me of a few of those 70's blaxploitation movies, i.e. Coffy, Shaft, Across 110th Street, etc. I still enjoy the storyline, though. Just imagine the cost with black A-list actors.
