Dear Mr.Perry, I am a freshman in college, Im majoring in English with a minor in Theater. The reason I am telling you this is because, you are a very inspirational person to me. I appricate all the films and movies you have done so far. They all have very important messages which has helped me in my everyday life. My favorite movie of all times is For Colored Girls Only. It's my favorite because you made your audience pay more attention to things in life and how the decisions we make affect us. I watched it for the fisrt time Feburary 18, 2011. This was one day before I had to perform poetry at a poetry workshop. I had no idea what I was going to say, I wanted to write something that was from the heart. On Feburay 19, 2011 which was my dads birthday whom I had lost 5 months before. Not only was I sad and cofused, I had alot of thoughtsbgoing through my head like: How am I going to make it through the rest of my Senior year with both of my parents deceased? How can I continue to be a role model for my younger brother and sister? Or how am I going to get grand ma throught this.I needed relief from worrying about what I was going to say. I thought about the movie For Colored Girls Only (whiche I had watched again the same day)and within minutes I was able to come with an amazing poem. I went to the poetry workshop giving my all with the new poem I had made. With all of this being said, I want to let yo know you work is greatly appreciated. It is awsome and amazing. To have someone like yourself who connects with his audoence. This is another reason why I am pursuing a career in acting and english. To inspire others just like you. I am also commending you because you are an African American Hero to me and others, so Happy Black History Month. Remeber your 12 rough days can give and bring you your most creative ideas. Sincerely Yours Eva D. Hill

Hey Mr.Perry, it is such a great gift to have the pleasure of watching your movies and plays, you have bought so much to the world of T.V, I can't sing a lick, probably can't act either, but I can give a lot to write about from my life experiences, and I realize that you bring laughter to real life situations, but all your stuff is so real, please give me a chance to contribute to that, because you gave so much back to the world from life experiences, would you please consider giving me the same chances. Thank you

I must be honest but out of all your accomplishments, I am most intrigued at your ability to forgive those who caused you great grief at one time in your life. I understand the power of unforgiveness and I am aware of all the scriptures but stunned at your level of forgiveness. I consider myself a good fan; however, I wonder if your forgiveness came with success. I am a believer that success is the best form of revenge, but what if you experience far and few moments of success. I have many questions on this topic and would love any form of communication. I pray you see my heart on this and any question I may have asked in the past. Wishing you the best on Good Deeds and God’s Speed!

I just wanted to let you know that I went to see your play, "The Haves and The Have Nots" two weeks ago in Columbia SC. I was a bit disappointed after I bought my tickets and found out that you would not be there and that Madea wasn't in the play. However I must say, the play was absolutely wonderful! My friend and I laughed and had a great time. The story line was one of the best ones so far and the cast was amazing! I can't say anything negative about it at all. I thank you for the most amazing mind and talent that you have. Keep up the great work. I'm waiting anxiously now to purchase tickets to see "Madea gets a job" at the Bilo Center in Greenville SC. I hope I am able to get really good seats for this one. I'm so excited and can't wait to get there. I'll see you soon!

Do you hear Jesus speaking to you my brother? When you said what you said at Miss Whitney's funeral, church was out for me and turned the TV off and went to another funeral for one our mothers of the church who was 94 years old. The world was blessed by your speach alone! I believe that your message for the world has become even more intense since that funeral! Thank you brother, for your wisdom, for your gift, and for your courage to stand for what you believe in. You do have a good heart! Hellur!

Tyler, I just read your email that you sent out and I understand what you are going through, it was a hard pill to swallow hearing about Whitney. I thought you did an amazing job speaking at her homegoing celebration, I to just lost a love one buried the day before Whitney's passing. Just by following you in all these years I know you are a man of God and I know you know God makes no mistakes of any kind. I just told my family that in life we love people so hard whether it's our family or a close friend but we are selfish when they are sick or whatever the case maybe, we don't want to lose them. We know when we were born we were to die and when a life leaves this earthly world do know God has taken another one of his angel/angels home and one day we pray that we will see them again as long as we keep God in our life and keep the faith. One day I would love to share my poem with you that I wrote for my mother's sister when she passed away titled "Close My Eyes". Just know that you are a good man and a wonderful friend you did Whitney justice and you did your mother proud. Don't ever give up and don't stop living your dream please continue to be the grounded person that you are because so many of us look up to you and it gives us hope. Thank you for being who you are because you have truly been a blessing to me so many time when I felt like I was going to lose my mind God steps in using you sending out your emails and sending a blessing through your stories and I just want to say thank you. Thank you for all you have done even though we don't know each other personally I like to give you your flowers now. May God continue to bless you and keep you. One more thing when you have time read the poem from Langston Hughes "Mother to Son" Then I think it will help you cope with the loss of your mother I know it's rough but always remember the smile and those encouraging talks you two had and all the fun it will get easier. Your friend, Mary (aka) Babygirl (from Kentucky)

Hey Tyler, Let me first start by saying I am a huge fan of yours, and its been my dream to be in one of your stage plays. But i noticed the majority of the actors are singer. Would you ever consider putting in an actor (me) who cant sing? Would love to get some feedback from you!

Tyler, I know this has been a difficult period for you, however, know that you are loved and lifted in prayer. You did a very loving, kind and thoughtful jester for the Houston family. I know you had to because that is just who you are. You never cease to make me proud of you! You are a blessed man of God and I pray that He will continue to bless you always!! Your #1 Fan, I don't care what the rest of your fans say! lol

Thank you for reminding me to look for light at my feet. My life fell apart when a routine operation left me very ill and nearly crippled. My days were a tug of war. I existed, I didn't live. I fought to get well. I wanted to curl up and die. I hoped. I gave up. But, I kept trying. Wellness didn't come, but better did. Better now, the walker is gone, the cane mostly retired, every day is still a fight. The old folks say if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. It's true. My career collapsed. My finances imploded. But stumbling onto this post, I hope that I will see a small light guiding my feet forward. Maybe this post is the light that will lead me to crawl into the world tomorrow. Thank you so much, and this from a white girl(ish) who just saw you on Chelsea and will go see Good Deeds with a couple white friends. Personally, I see a lot of my family in your movies. It seems I'm not supposed to but I do and for that, I also thank you.

Hi Mr. Perry, I have a lot of respect for Marvin Winnan but you should have done the Whitney Houston's eulogy. You had talked about her life and how grace carried her from stage of life to next. Finally, this same grace had carried her eterrnally home. Marvin Winnan's sermon for eulogy would have been great on Sunday morning service.
