Hello Mr. Perry, My name is Ken. I'm an aspiring Black writer. Currently, I'm a senior at Columbus State University, planning to graduate this December. I have a true passion for writing and creating stories that will inspire and induce to people think. It will be an honor to be a part of your team, for you have been one of my inspiration to pursuing the path of writing for media. I feel my voice will be soul food for the Black community. It's unfortunate that most of my favorite shows and movies do not have leading Black characters. As a writer, I want to be one to help pave the way for more diversity in roles, that aren't stereotypical or degrading for Black people. The other day I watched a video on YouTube, where you were giving a tour of your studio. It was an old video, but to see the video was extremely inspirational. I like how you paid tribute to actors/actresses from the early and mid 1900s, like Cicely Tyson and Sidney Poitier. When you mentioned the different stars, I thought to myself, he'd better mention Sidney. Several years ago, I posted a video of me doing a Madea impression, where I left a message to Mr. Brown, saying to "get yo dogs" before something happens to them. I received positive comments. I actually took the time out to write a script for that video. Many were impressed and believed it almost as good as the original (you), if not as good. Can I still do a Madea impression? Yes, probably not as good as I could back then. Anyway, the purpose of this message is tell you how much of an inspiration you have been and how surreal it would be to work with you, to bounce ideas off of each other. There are many stories I want to share with the world. I was wondering if there is some way I can send you samples of my work? Knowing you're a busy man, this may be a tall order. But there's no harm in trying. I hope this message see you well. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this. Have a blessed day, my friend. Best regards, Ken Campbell
