Description:
For Better Or Worse centers around two of Perry's favorite characters from the big screen, Marcus and Angela, who were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry's blockbuster hit feature films, "Why Did I Get Married?", and "Why Did I Get Married Too?". For Better Or Worse is a dramedy that follows the tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator. Tasha Smith will also resume her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus, who is intent on giving him hell every step of the way. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. The sets, high fashion and the strikingly good-looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sitcom format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in the 21st century world. Like always, viewers will leave with life-changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment.

I love the show and am watching previous episodes now. If I can offer one bit of constructive criticism and that is to remember the sequence of events bc in one episode Marcus takes MJ to the doctor and gets a DNA test and Angela, Jennifer, and Leslie are discussing the fact that Dominique is not his daughter. Then in the very next episode Marcus tells Joseph that Angela doesn't know and Marcus is seen telling Angela that Dominique is not his daughter. I found it odd for these two episodes to air back to back especially with the sequencing of the two. True fans of the show notice details like this. If you were going to air these on the same night the sequence of the shows should have been different.

I have been spending some time watching this show on tbs and some of the things i see bother me a lot. I will admit that i am not up to date on the show but i keep asking myself if this should be the way that love should be expressed especially with regards to the relationship between Angela and her husband. From what i have observed so far, it seems as if Angela just does what she wants and lets the guy deal with the outcome of whatever decision she makes. She just has to bat her eyelids and say she is sorry but one is left wondering if this is "love". I use love loosely here because i believe we have been tricked into believing that love is a feeling and for all the comments i have read on this website (and there are some really compelling personal stories), we need to seriously ask ourselves what love truly is. I take my answers from the bible in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. Never in the bible is love described as a feeling. It is a choice and it is messy and difficult and heart-breaking. It is the way you relate with your spouse when you offer kindness and mercy and..., even when (especially when) it is undeserved. There is also a dimension of love that constrains. It means both of you cannot just do what you want to do because you actually hold the feelings of your partner in high esteem. Of course, we all think we deserve people that are perfect. Partners that are not jealous, That always say the right things and are always patient with us but there is no perfect person and guess what neither am I or you. So in essence, we have two imperfect people trying to love one another the way the bible says. And that means sometimes you need to stop hanging out with that guy/girl because your husband feels threatened. Or you need to find a job with more flexibility because your partner needs help at home. There is no love without sacrifice. Love costs something and the earlier we realize that, the better it will be for all of our marriages. And for the Christians out there, I mean the real Christians. You cannot do it on your own. There is no substitute to waiting on him for the choice of a partner. Relying on your own strength and wisdom will get you in a mess. Let him choose for you and he will walk you through your marriage.

I cannot stand that Kiesha character. I am almost incline to believe she may really be that way. She play that part too good. I choose not to watch the episodes with he in it. I enjoy all of the other characters but she makes me not want to watch this show. Ugh she is horrible and no her weave does not look real when pulled up in a ponytail. I love the rest of the cast.
