For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

Hi Mr. Perry, First I love all your shows, especially For Better or For Worse. But, the one thing I need for you to do is stop, please stop having Jennifer act the fool for a laugh. You can make the show as funny as you want it to be without Jennifer being the idiot of the show. Please don't get me wrong, you are a fantastic writer, director and producer, but in this instance you are so far off the mark its unbelievable. You are doing what all the other tv networks do with large size actors you make them desperate and needy and stupid. Jennifer is a very intelligent and sweet and very sexy woman, why does she have to come off as being an over-sex and desperate for a man. Can't she want a man and not act like an idiot. She doesn't have to throw herself at every man in the show and always act like she is so desperate for a man that she has to make herself a complete idiot. I truly take offense to that and I don't see you as being so out of touch with your audience that you don't understand how we are feeling toward this character. Thanks for understanding and please keep up the great work.

Hello Mr. Perry. I absolutely LOVE this show and all the other shows you've created. I would love to know where to purchase that football art hanging on the wall in Marcus' office. Never seen anything like it.

Love the show, however the laugh track is over the top! A quality show such as this one does not need to prompt its viewers to laugh.

Mr. Perry, I enjoy your entertainment. My favorite is For Better or Worse. The only problem is the way Jennifer comes across as a needy, heavy set, desperate woman. Her character is boring. I know not one woman that acts like that. Please give her more substance, or set her free.

      Now thats funny!

I agree, Jennifer's character has to be redeveloped. I am a heavy set, single black woman, that there is no way on God's green earth that I behave in such a manner! More than any of the other characters (although Todd runs a close second), Jennifer is portrayed in a such a stereotypical manner that it is almost embarrassing to watch.

Tyler Perry REALLY REALLY need to SET HER FREE. She is an embarrassment, she is not funny.

The back ground laughing with the fake audience really is annoying half of the stuff is not even funny. Angela and Leslie hair looks well but Jennifer's hair (wig) looks really bad.... The show is not so good anymore... I love Keisha she really makes the show more interesting sorry but the other actors are boring.....

Wat up Mr. Perry. I like the show but I think you should return to the dramatic form that occupied the first and second seasons. I like the idea of Jennifer and old boy from the Tv station. I think she might be the one to grow him up a little bit. I like the comedy factor but the show needs a more dramatic element to keep us on edge as well as laughing. And where on earth is keisha and Richard. Not to mention Marcus and Angelas son. I love your work and inspiration. I will always support your work. Have a great day sir!

Please can the "canned laughter" if its funny, it's funny, you don't need the "canned laughter" to make it funny or tell you when to laugh. I like the show, the story line is good but the writing is not. Please Mr. Perry Fix It!!

Hey Tyler. I like the idea that you finally had Todd and Jennifer supposedly hook up. This would be refreshing for the show. They are both single and even though it turns out that they didn't sleep together. It would be interesting to see where something with these two would go. Just an idea!

I agree. Give these two characters a chance of being intelligent, instead of them being the bad jokes of the show.
