Description:

For Better Or Worse, Tyler Perry’s sit-com centers around two of Perry’s favorite characters from the big screen- Marcus and Angela. Marcus and Angela were first introduced to the world in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster hit feature films… “Why Did I Get Married”, and “Why Did I Get Married Too”.

For Better Or Worse is a not-so-subtle situation comedy that follows the zany and sometimes tumultuous relationship of the lovesick couple. Tasha Smith and Michael Jai White are back to reprise their roles in the half-hour show. Michael plays Marcus, an ex football player turned sports commentator who owns his own sports talk show. Tasha Smith also resumes her role as Angela, the edgy and outspoken wife of Marcus who is dedicated to her husband, children, and marriage. The show also follows the lives of those who Marcus and Angela call their friends. There is Joseph, Marcus’ best friend and business partner. Joseph is left devastated by his breakup with long-time girlfriend, Leslie. Tired of waiting for a proposal from Joseph, Leslie has moved on to bigger and better things while staying focused on her career and her undying friendship with Angela. Keisha, Marcus’ ex- continues to cause a world of trouble for the group of friends and colleagues. And Jennifer and Todd are still as crazy as ever.

For Better Or Worse is ground breaking television, and is one of the biggest TV shows movie mogul Tyler Perry has ever produced. The sets, high fashion, and the strikingly good looking cast come together to create a truly sexy and provocative half-hour of television. Viewers will experience a fresh approach to the traditional sit-com format that will provide all the elements of well-crafted storytelling and the raw intrigue of reality TV. For Better Or Worse explores the controversial and joyous moments associated with marriage and dating in a 21st Century world. And like always, viewers will leave with life changing messages that have become a trademark of the Perry brand of entertainment. Don’t miss the next Tyler Perry hit… For Better Or Worse.

Hey! LOVE the show! well at least I used to. Me and my mom would set aside our wednesday nights to watch the show because it was so filled with drama and so filled with suspense. But now, it seems like it takes half the show to get a point across. Like the episode on Wednesday December 11, 2013, when Angela was cussing out Marcus about Karen, It took her around 7 minutes to actually TELL him what she heard. It gets sickening. But ouff!! Leslie getting raped? I can't wait to see what happens next season. But i cant stress enough how much i HATE TODD!! He sucks up all the drama that SHOULD be in the scene and throws it in the garbage! Like when Kesha was cheating on Richard at the ATM, i know that in season 1, He would've went off and crazy, but Todd had to act like a goofy idiot the whole time. But it seams like this season is about laughter when it really shouldn't be. What i really want to see is Jennifer's baby daddy come into the picture. Maybe Joseph find someone new while Leslie tries to get him back after her traumatic experience of being raped, "Karen" be seen in the new season to prove that it wasn't "just a dream", and Kesha and Richard to surprise everyone and actually work things out. and hey.. what happened to MJ???

I had hopes for this show. I did like it and I just absolutely hate it now. I don't find anything funny about a woman about to be raped in one scene and in another scene the man that loves her who knows something is wrong with her is being objectified by some horny f** chick. Todd's character is completely and totally annoying, he would have gotten his b*** whooped in real life. None of this is funny, Jennifer is annoying, Todd is annoying. I mean this last episode is supposed to be serious and you have idiots goofing off and I just think it's beyond stupid. I'm out.

I love the show. Todd is way too annoying though; why hasn't he been fired. I can't believe you left us hanging. Please write it so that Joseph is the one to save her and they get back together. I like happy endings. Please get Jennifer a man. It isn't fair that the rich thinner women have a man and she never gets one. He doesn't have to be rich, just good to her. I am a high school teacher and some of my students tell me that I remind them of Madea....because I DON'T PLAY! I consider it a compliment.

I was on needles and pins when I watched the last episode with Joseph and Leslie. That's how you know he loves her, he could sense she was in danger. Even though she was mean to him and thought he was her stalker. And yes, he kind of got what he deserved since he wouldn't marry her or make her feel like he wanted to marry her, not respecting her religious beliefs and wishes. Can't wait for new season 2014. And, I agree with writer Tina, when is Jennifer going to get a man? And Keisha deserves nothing, but every show has to have a Keisha. Maybe one of these times I'm in the ATL I can meet you. I know you know Bonnie Chaney and her sister Lynn who are good friends of mine. Be blessed.

Hi Tyler, How are you? I would just like to say I love your show For Better Or Worse, And I hope that you have a season 4 in 2014, You can't just leave me hanging like this LOL!!.. The suspense on Leslie and Joseph hopefully saving her is going to keep me In limbo until next year, and Richard and Keisha I hope he gets a divorce and she gets NOTHING!! And poor Jennifer when are you gonna bring her man In the picture, And Todd a female he Is so annoying, he's worse than an old lady In the window watching her neighbors houses/apts. and talking phone telling all their business LOL, cause he know everybody's business. Anyway I love you Tyler you are an amazing actor, writer and producer. Maybe one day I will get my wish and meet you, cause I am pretty comedic myself.

Mr. Perry. I thank you for all your contributions to the Arts. they all relate so much to our everyday life. Some are so tense that they are to hard to view. They remind us of our true lives, ones we don't want to remember or admit, "For Better or Worse" reminds me of so many characters that have been in my life. My favorite character is "Tod". He brings a quality of humor which is rare and I feel he ties the the 3 characters together. The beauty salon and all are very representative of Black culture. "Leslie" is one beautiful lady and a good actor also. And of course Angie ties all the ladies together. Please do not leave this series vacant for too long. Thanks for all your work. John

I love this show! I think you have done an excellent job. Every character on the show exsist in the African American community and it's nice to see them all come together in a comedy.

Good-bye!! What show should they be on? This show has aproximately 10 people in the cast. The whole show is not bad because of 2 people that you are not interested in.

This is the last season for me. I no longer like the show because of Jennifer and Todd. Good-bye Tyler Perry until you can rewrite this show and put Jennifer and Todd on the back burner way way back on the burner. I'M DONE BYE

I'm not sure about all of the negative comments but, this show is OFF THE HOOK! Mr. Perry this is a must see and I can't wait until the new season starts! Everytime my wife and I look at a new episode of "For Better or Worse" and "The Haves and Have Nots" we say the same thing - "Tyler Perry makes me sick! why does he have to be soo good at what he does". To all the negative commenters...the ratings speak for themselves. You don't get 3 seasons because Oprah likes you...Mr. Perry put in the work and I am greatly appreciative for the image of the Black American he promotes. While I may not agree with EVERYTHING I do believe that his writing is what we need.
