Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

I am in love with this show, and I cannot wait until January to find out what happened. Great job Mr. Perry!

So unrealistic. Jim is attacked and no one called the police? Jim, a judge and candidate for governor, and this mansion has no security? Even Quincy climbing into bed with Veronica was unrealistic. Please get rid of the crazy Amanda. What does Veronica have on her son? The fact that Wyatt was driving his car? How does that put Jeffrey in jeopardy? Is she going To allege that he is an accessory to the crime? This whole story line involving this maid is so far fetched.

Maggie, I do not think it is unrealistic for the Cryers not to call the police. Jim has enemies on the police force due to Wyatt, and the family is accustomed to covering up their misdeeds. Jim was probably planning something evil for Quincy before he was kidnapped.

I agree, Maggie@ Veronica having the car. I NEVER understood what the big deal was about the car. Jeffrey wasn't driving, that's been established, so how can she hold that over his head and have him jump through hoops and have David leave the home just because she has the car. By the way, that scapegoat guy who took the blame for Wyatt, looked nothing like Wyatt IMO.

I truly enjoy watching the HAHN. I love every twist and turn. I look forward to the next season. I have one complaint. I have never seen the conclusion of what happened to the professor. He was staved in a public park by Amanda, stumbled away and never seen or heard from again. What's up with that? Your fans need closure. Please help.

Also, isn't Amanda pregnant? Wasn't it Amanda's pregnancy test that Jim found that made him think that Candace was pregnant? What happened to that story line?

Candace made Jim think that she was pregnant. Once the Malones got a hold of her, she told the truth about making up the pregnancy because mama Malone was going to give her an abortion.

How can viewers see all episodes in seasons 1, 2, and 3 to catch up on the series? Are there plans to make all episodes available for viewing through on Netflix or Comcast OnDemand? E

I agree. Veronica is a terrible mother. She's more concerned about the family image then who her son is. I can't stand her & wish Jeffery would stand up to her once & for all & say "Mom this is who I am, I'm gay" & move on.

Horrible, horrible, horrible finale. There was way too much going on for it to end like it did. Maybe if there were more content instead of the 4-minute commercial breaks, all of the story lines could have been touched upon. Maybe Tyler should STOP making more and more and more and more sitcoms/tv dramas and develop the HAHN script into something more than one word lines, 3 minute stare downs (Hanna and her baby daddy last week) and commercial filler. Maybe it should just be a 30 minute show since that is all the content that we get anyway.

AMEN, AMEN, AMEN! I think we would be better served if he just had a Have and Have Nots Movie. That way the fans could sit down for 1.5 to 2 hrs (commercial free) and enjoy the movie! We would get WAY more content than we get tuning in to a weekly series and all of this "suspense" that they seem to think we love so much (WHICH WE DON'T) and all of these hiatuses and network games would be abolished. I would rather see it once a year in a two hour movie than waste my time tuning in weekly and playing these stupid games with Tyler and Oprah! I tell ya....they are gonna fool around and run this show into the ground!!!!!!!! TYLER---DON'T BE A J*** OF ALL TRADES AND M***** OF NONE!!!! Pick something like HAHN and give it your all. What is the point of pissing off your fan base??? What is the point of driving ratings into the ground---then taking a hiatus---and then a whole season to barely reach the previous seasons ratings? Please realize that as much as people love you YOU DO HAVE COMPETITION!!!! SCANDAL, THE NEW SHOW SHONDA RIMES HAS COMING OUT, BEING MARY JANE, ETC. ETC. They don't play games with the faithful fans on those shows! They keep us engaged and wanting more, they CONSISTENTLY BRING IT!!!! They make the shows available on Netflix so new fans can constantly be added to the fan base. I know we always seem like we are fussing and criticizing on here, but you might want to actually listen to the fans!!!! If we didn't care, and we didn't want your shows to succeed, we wouldn't bother to come on here and critique and offer advice and opinions, and we darn sure wouldn't watch. As for the fans who support any old mess just because Tylers name is on it....you guys are part of the problem. As long as you support anything whether it is quality or not....you diminish the need for Tyler and Oprah to step up there game because they think we will all just be here no matter what! NEWSFLASH!!!! WE WON'T!
