Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

I really wish you had not made the social worker guilty and given Candice justification for beating another woman like that. Hopefully she was lying just to get out of there with her life. Whatever, it turned me off the whole show. So disturbing.

I like the show ,but the violence is too much and it was not a good show last week to see 2 women hitting and bullying on another woman and yet she loves her son? that is not consistent with the character.I had to change the channel ,very disappointing.

I thought the exact same thing. If I wanted to see two women beating another woman, I'd watch a housewives episode

I was very shock when Candace and her friend Erica beat up Aaliyah, the social worker. I was like no that's the wrong one, ya'll need to get Quincy sister Quita she's in the neighborhood. At first I thought Candace was wrong for that and the girl may not have anything to do with Oscar. Those scenes almost twist my views of Candace. But when I saw this week's episode I no longer felt sorry for the social worker especially when she told Candace that Oscar paid her$25,000 in cash. The social worker took the bribe and she should' ve been fire, arrested, or both. Then I tied this week episode with last week episode and I remember when Candace said the social worker was pressuring her to show her how much money was in her account and flashback I remember Oscar showing her that money and another episode she saw the money in the hospital where she finds out that Quincy, her baby daddy was in the hospital trying to get their son. Then the fact that the social worker allow Hannah to get custody of Q, and her house burnt down plus she has no insurance on the house and she was staying in a cheap rundown motel that she could not afford and how she struggle to get Q to the hospital, while she told Candace that the expensive nice Sarandon hotel was unstable. I'm like Aaliyah lied and she should be fired. And then another episode I remember when Quincy was choking the social worker and took that information from her with Candace address and other information on there. Then she fail to tell Candace that Q choke and stole information about Candace's address which could 'be avoided Quincy harming Candace is like a set up and she should be charged and fired. So I don't blame Candace and her friend Erica for whooping her.

Tyler Last week episodes had me on the edge of my seat. I wish Candice and Erica didn't have to beat up the social worker. Wondering if she is telling the truth about Oscar. I was thinking maybe not because she just wanted to save her self. I am so glad that Hanna told David off. She has been through enough. I hope Q is okay. I have a feeling that Warlock is going to hurt Candice, as far as Quincy's sister she might try and kill Candice when she finds out about her brother. Maggie will end up pregnant. Looking forward to next week.

Tyler got me all twisted. Candace has always been my favorite, although she has done things that was very wrong. But I really hope she don't get killed and she, Hanna, Benny and little Q can live happy. All the powerful ones need to do time behind bars. And how in the world can Wyatt get off with immunity? That lil girl is dead and he's off getting high.

I love the story line of the show but there is only ONE thing that is very irritating and that is the music playing while they are acting. You can't hear them speak as well you have to have the TV up loud and the music is still annoying. Plus some of the actors needs to put more expression into their acting John his wide the maid the son of John are all great actors. But the rest of them are just a bit monotone is all but great actors. I love the show just trying to give some constructive criticism is all. I love all of Tyler Perry's shows he is an awesome writer and actor. But if the music while they are in scene can either go away or lower it a lot preferably go away would be GREAT.

I can't seem to find anything that says "If Loving You Is Wrong" is coming back! What a shame, b/c I was just starting to like that as well; I especially want to know if Pete lives after being ambushed by that gang; and I'd love to see what happens w/Alex and her r***** parents and that baby! There are a lot of loose ends to be tied up, so I hope we get some closure and not just left hanging!

Not only is Candace in too deep, she's now dragged everyone else into her MUD!!! I hope they all abandon her and let her sorry @ss drown! I've begun to really dislike her scheming butt! *I hope that social worker was lying about Oscar paying her, b/c I want her to have Candace and that other heifer arrested and charged w/assault! **Finally, Hannah has had her fill of the Cryers and Harringtons and all their b.s.! She and Catherine are DONE, and Hannah might even sue them herself (but I doubt it, since she's so holy)! ***I'm so glad Benny stood up to David; why is David so concerned over that demon wife of his, after all she's done to him and Jeffrey! I hope he's too late to save her and she gets shot! ****It looks like Jeffrey's going to get 'assaulted' by that cop; he tried it before, but didn't get a chance to follow through...looks like Jeffrey will be a victim again! He needs to take some self-defense classes!

I never watch tv but two shows captured much undivided attention. One was The Have and Have Nots. I am getting very disappointed lately with all the bad stuff uncontrolled and somewhat unrealistic. The lady DA is too mean to be interesting and these events are getting very irritating. Wyatt is a stupid brat and keeps me from sleeping so, at last, I have decided to wait until a new season, if there is one, and maybe it will get better.

Is there any way for those of us who have "cut the cord" to watch full episodes? I would love a app to subscribe to like hbo etc does now. OWN network could have it's own app that we could pay to subscribe to like netflix. If there already is a way, someone please advise me. Respectfully, Deborah
