Description:

From prolific, writer, director, producer Tyler Perry, The Haves and the Have Nots is a new television drama that follows the complicated dynamic between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the hired help who work in their opulent mansion set in Savannah, Georgia.

From the outside, the Cryers are the enviable face of success and wealth, but behind the veil the family’s dysfunction threatens to destroy their world of privilege. Cryer family patriarch Jim Cryer (John Schneider) is a powerful judge whose double-life, including tawdry affairs with high-priced escorts, puts his family and political ambitions at risk. His wife, Katheryn Cryer (Renée Lawless), is the ultimate matriarch portraying a loving and dutiful wife, but she is willing to do anything to protect her family’s status. Their son Wyatt (Aaron O’Connell) is a troubled angry jock who cares little for his own image and finds himself in and out of rehab. His sister Amanda (Jacyln Betham), a struggling law student, tries harder to live up to her parents’ expectations, but unknowingly has befriended a scurrilous young woman, Candace Young, with the power to ruin the entire family.

Hanna Young (Crystal Fox) is the Cryer’s maid and the matriarch of her family. Despite having no money, she has found other types of wealth through religion and virtue. She prides herself on her dutiful son Benny (Tyler Lepley), the glue who helps keep the family together. Hanna does have one dark secret, however, her estranged daughter Candace (Tika Sumpter)—a manipulative opportunist who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Other characters in the series include the Cryer’s chef Celine (Eva Tamargo), their wealthy friends Veronica (Angela Robinson) and David Harrington (Peter Parros), and son Wyatt’s rehabilitation counselor, Jeffery Harrington (Gavin Houston).

Apparently I am the only one who has a problem with loud music playing making the dialogue hard to hear many times!

The last thing Candace want is Child Protective to investigate her and find out she is an escort unemployed and does not have a stable environment to raise Q. If Candace were smart she would let Q live with Hanna for the time being and work on passing the bar and securing steady employment. This may be how Candace and Hanna will bond as mother and daughter for their love of Q. Oscar is slick as he does not care the least bit about Candace and her painful life. Wyatt is where he need to be in prison for his crime. Veronica is using Benny for sex. Melissa is Veronica#2 in the making. Professor Canon should file charges against Jim Cryer for assault. All of the children at Quincy sister place should be put in foster care. Q seems to be such a sweet child who does not deserve to be treated so bad. Both Quincy and his sister should be charge with child abuse.

OMG!!! Little Q is just the cutest little boy!!! I wanted to reach through the tv and keep him with me!! Those somber little eyes of his...and he did a WONDERFUL job with his lines, too! Just a little heart-breaker!!! Love it! For once, Candace kept her promise and beat it home to her child! Now she and Hannah will be @war again over who's going to get custody of him! Hannah would appear to be the logical choice, BUT if Candace can get herself together, get a job (with Oscar's help) and show she can be a good mother, she might have a chance; but Quincy has to be dealt with once and for all! They should get WAR to kill him! He would do it for 'Candy Cane'! *I did enjoy the beat-down Jim gave the professor! **Wyatt is getting r-ped in prison, and he'll never forgive Jim for letting that happen; Katherine won't either! ***Melissa is a real piece of work; good for Jeffrey for letting her know he won't be bamboozled into marrying her, regardless of psycho Veronica's plans! WAY TO GO, BENNY...YOU'RE THE MAN!!!!

If you don't got anything positive to say don't say anything at all. Nobody wants to read negative comments, when we come on this website we look for positivity, inspiration, encouragement and we are suppose to see Gods people applauding this man on what he has given him to do. So take that negative spirt and take it somewhere else. It's people like you who bring everybody's elses mood down. For God sake, he just lost a close friend. All of the things going on in his life, do you really think he want to come on this message board and read all the bad comments yall are putting on here, you need to be ashamed of yourself! I'm so sick on coming on this website and reading bad things to say about this man of God he should be aplaudded for what he does. If you got a problem with his work, then I'd like to see you in his shoes for a day. Some people just don't appreciate the pleasure that he is trying to please people after they come home of long days work!

Like i said before. I don't know about anybody else but when I come on this website I expect to see inspiration, encouragement, and positivity and so on. And I didn't mention nothing about the show. I was saying it's not necessary to post nasty comments on his website. They saying the show is starting to get disgusting, when it's them is disgusting and need to chill out over the soap opera!!! I said think before you go and post nasty comments on the wall. Do you really think, Sheila, that he want to come on HIS website, yes HIS website, and read any kind of comments on here. Like I said before he just lost a friend, give this man a break. Find out another way to deal with ur frustrations on the show. And a good start would be to stop watching it if yall got so much to say!!!!!!

Tyler Perry, this show has become sick and disgusting. You call this writing entertainment? People watch shows to escape the wickedness of this world, not to watch a concentrated form after work in the evenings. Please consult with true screenwriters.

Welcome to the real world Zarala, Mr Tyler Perry is a Brilliant writer who bring the real world to tv.Some of the situation that he address can be therapy for some people that may help them to face there fears. And to let them know that they are not alone. And this may help them to not to be afraid to speak up to face fear and to seek HELP.

I totally agree with you! The music is WAY too loud! We have to constantly rewind the scenes in order to hear the dialogue. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer or Negative Nelly but you know black folks gonna keep it real lol!! Love the show but Tyler turn the background music down a tad. Smooches :-)
