Description:

Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor, the new situation comedy by writer and director Tyler Perry is a wonderfully fresh show about a middle class family, and their daily joys, struggles, triumphs, and fumbles. Hattie Mae Love (Patrice Lovely) lives in the simple home that she and one of her husbands bought some time ago. Linda (Kendra C. Johnson) her daughter, splits her time between Hattie’s home and the apartment she sometimes shares with her on-again off-again husband, Lionel. Danny (Andre Hall), Linda’s son, is his mother’s pride and joy. He is young, handsome, smart, and looking for a job. After graduating from college, Danny finds himself on his grandmother Hattie Mae’s sofa. Floyd (Palmer Williams, Jr.), the uncle, through his late brother’s marriage to Hattie Mae, is an ever-present thorn in the family’s side. Like old luggage, they can never seem to get rid of him.

In the first season of this comic tale, Hattie Mae has had enough of grown people living in her house. She puts her foot down and shows the toughest love there is by sending Linda and Danny to the door. Danny moves in with his friend Sam, and Linda eventually helps out down at Hattie Mae’s Love Train Diner.

The Love Train is an old locomotive car converted to a diner that serves up all of Hattie Mae’s old recipes. It is the neighborhood hang out spot that, along with great food, serves up a whole lot of fun. As Linda and Floyd commit to help Hattie Mae with the family business, blessings abound. Soon the customers multiply, and so do the laughs, the drama, and the love of a very comical family.

With the help of Danny’s new roommate Sam (Jonathan Chase), Danny soon lands a job at an internet design firm. Danny proves to be a star there. However living and working with Sam, a 30-year-old who is trapped in his teens, will prove to be more of a nightmare than Danny could ever imagine. As the parties get wilder, the women get crazier, and Danny’s young life becomes a humorous tale of dodging fanatical friends, and eccentric family members.

Nevertheless, Danny begins to excel at his new position when the Chicago office sends the beautiful Marianna to take over as boss of the Atlanta office. Marianna quickly falls in love with Danny’s work ethic and virtuous character. As a close knit team and family, the young twenty & thirty something’s embark on a number of adventures that go along with being young professionals in a contemporary & technical society.

All in all, Tyler Perry’s Love Thy Neighbor is a collection of stories that warm the heart, provoke thought, and always serves up a heap of laughs. Through all the changes, there is one constant, and that is the universal language called Love. It’s all about love.

Elisha, I can't wait until the Season Finale. However, I will be sadden about the show ending so soon, but I am interested in knowing how Mr. Perry going to bring it to an end. I have some awesome ideas that I think will have the viewers biting their nails with anticipation on each episode. I also, can't wait to hear your great ideas as well.

Wanda wanna wait and watch the finale and then so add on to it . Because I already have Ideas . Here is a little bit . Danny is now heartbroken and then drew comforts him and he kept complaining about his heartbreak and Drew agrees with him and realises he broke drew's heart when he ran off with her . Drew doesn't want to get in Danny's way and Danny is just devastated and she can't stand his heartbreak so she tells him why she is in love with Danny . Danny falls for drew . Worried drew doesn't want to damage their friendship but sees that Danny needs someone to love him so she allows him to make love to her . Danny makes love with drew and they develop a relationship and through out the rest of the series they discover talents have , their personal needs , their seductive sides . They get engaged and then marry because Linda heard that troy was coming back to town and they hurry up and elope at the church and Phillip slopes with Linda again to give her wedding Linda always wanted and the newly Wed couple adjust to their new lives . They are Gerry passionate and in love with one another . In this process drew mature Danny up a little as for her self and after being married for at least 1 season drew discovers she is pregnant . They live on to have a happy life but in the 8th season finale something very shocking happens to Philip you wouldn't predict it . What do you think Wanda .

Elisha, I think we should wait until the season finale. However, after watching this Season, I personal don't like Danny and Drew being together. But, I can see her being there for him while he go through the pain of Troy leaving. I personal would love to see Drew grow up, show us a side of her that show her self worth. Now Drew appears to not only be childish but very easy(horny). That is not helping Danny, now she can still have love for him but not in love with him. I think Drew needs a strong man(Maxwell) that will help her be a great wife. Drew can be there for Danny like a close friend would be, needless to say, she is not feeling him in a matter of getting with him after she meet Maxwell,( the man that loves her unconditional). Danny is very heartbroken, but realize that he must move forward in order to keep Linda from stress out. So, Phillip steps in and talk to Danny man to man. Phillip gives Danny some great fatherly advise that helps him move forward. Linda notice Danny's growth in manhood and is very please with the outcome. However, Linda do hear about Troy coming back in town and she is afraid that Danny will fall for Troy all over again and so Linda(very stressful) tries to protect her Danny but goes into labor. This is not good, Linda and the unborn baby are both in a great deal of danger..... Now, Elisha, I love Phillip so I personal don't want anything to happen to him. I think that Phillip is truly the lever headed one that holds the family together. He truly loves Linda and has shown her his unconditional love for her and her strange family. Once he is faced with the possibility of losing both Linda and the baby, Phillip shows his faith by falling to his knees asking "Why Me Lord, Why Me"... Elisha we will continue and I like some of your ideas however, the one about Danny and Drew not so much.

Why not just try it . She is so warm . But troy was just controlling him . Drew is in love with him . He refused drew but jumped up and ran off with troy . But can you at least give drew a child . Who knows seeing Danny in pain might change her love and make her turn into independent mature and still funny but knows what she wants . Please I beg let drew have a chance .

It's okay for Drew to have a child, just not with Danny. I think that Danny and Drew friendship should be unbreakable. Meaning that when Drew finds real love with Maxwell, Danny will mature in more ways than one. He now realized that he loved Drew but did realize it until he saw her strengths after Troy leaves him and how she helps him deal with, in a real friends way. Danny also realize that Drew has moved on and she often speaks of Maxwell to Danny, so he knows that he missed the opportunity with Drew. Not only does Danny grows up from Troy and Drew situation but he knows that he is his mother's heart and she still feels as if she can protect him from all pain. So once Linda gets word about Troy she begins stressing and has to be on bed rest for the remaining of her pregnancy. Drew can have a baby with Maxwell once they get married. Drew character really need to redeem herself worth.

NOOOOOOOOOOO, Not Drew and Danny. Drew is not the right fit for Danny, Troy is . She is not controlling him, she is making him a man. Drew needs a different type of man NOT DANNY. Grown men do not bath with rubber duckies in the tub. That's a 5 year old little boy. I think Troy is part of the main cast now. I think that she was brought on the show for Danny that way Linda can focus on her life with Philip and the kids and the baby. Instead of Danny. Danny can focus on his life with Troy. They are both young so it will be some up and down times in they relationships. If they hang in there i believe they will make it with Mama Hattie help. What want happen if Drew and Sam get drunk one night and make love to each other now that would be a good plot for a season.

I can see Danny and Troy staying together, but Drew and Sam, LAWTY NOOOO! Talking about childish, we might as well tune in to SpongeBob. The sitcom is funny but has life situation that people can relate to. Now, there are some Drew and Sam out here, but the way season 5 is being played out. Drew and Sam are clueless and should find there own love interest that will help them mature. Please no Drew and Sam!!!!

Wanda I know I just said that but did not mean it. I wish the season could be longer TP takes to long to get to the story line. I love Linda and Philip together he took to long to get them together . Now he is taking to long for Linda to have the baby. Look my birthday is Sunday and I am going to be 64 I can afford to wait for a new season. He needs to make the story line just a little bit shorter.

Gwen and Elisha, what about Hattie and Floyd.(Lol) Did you ladies catch Mama Hattie admitting to having another child/children. It was when she came into Phillip and Linda's house and was talking to Linda when Linda said, "I'm your only daughter mama", then Ms. Hattie said," that's what the h*** you think". Now that my friends would make a great interesting season plot.

Lol, Gwen I agree. TP can really just bring Phillips children in cause we really didn't see much of the kids and Linda reaction toward them finding out about the baby. If I recall the only time seeing them with Linda was when Phillip and Linda was to tell them about the baby and the marriage. However, only the marriage was mention. It should be interesting seeing mama Hattie around the children. They just might be jealous of new baby. I think if TP bring the show on daily we can see a lot that we have to other hand read into.

I actually like Troy for Danny. I love her personality on the show. She's excellent (including the grandmother). Hmmm, I do not feel the same way about Danny's mother. She does tend to over do it in the show. His mother is all everywhere. Danny's roommate is excellent (great actor). I love the show.

Hi Pam, is this your first season watching the show. Ms. Hattie is Danny's grandmother she is truly a ball of fun as well as fire, in other words she does have years of wisdom under her belt. As for Linda, Danny's mom, she is a sweet, nice, loving mother, who has in the past been hurt so badly that she had a very hard time in trusting and loving another man beside her son Danny. Her mom(Ms. Hattie) didn't allow Linda to give up and saw a good man in Phillip. They hooked up Linda got pregnant and has had some racing hormones from last season and still this season. However, give her a chance, her character is based upon a lot of everyday women, who experience hurt, pain, unsure, and a lot more things she dealt with growing up. Troy is growing Danny in a lot of ways, her character to me comes across a little sneaky. But I do like her, she is playing that role. I wish Mr. Perry bring Troy's mom and dad to the show soon. I wonder who her parents will be.

Hi, Wanda I was thinking about Troy and Danny. Troy is more like Danny than we realize. She is trying to find her way too. You remember Drew saying how Troy look when she first ask Danny and Sam to babysit Troy. It wasn't Troy that ask Drew can she stay the weekend it was Troy's father. Drew never like Troy because she said that Troy was ugly. Could you imagine going through childhood like that. When your own cousin don't like you because you are not petty. I think Troy parents treats her like Linda treats Danny and she wanted to get away. Now once her parents come into the picture it will be differed. Linda will realize that Troy is someone baby too and not what she imagine she is and her feeling toward Troy will start to change.

Hi Gwen, yes I do remember Drew not being so nice in her description of Troy. We all see that Drew has issues herself. I can see what you're saying about Troy growing up being the f** kid in all. Troy has gained a great sense of self worth as well as confidence. She is clearly more mature than Drew.

Hello Mr. Perry, I can only imagine how your life must be. Mr. Perry, I have been on this site typing up my thoughts on how episodes could/should be. I must admit that it is very interesting to see how people respond to your ideas and thoughts. I have even meet a couple of people who we go back and forward on our ideas about how we think/wish the show will go. However, Mr. Perry, I do believe that we all have mad love for you and support your ideas on all you do. I read on Facebook how your works do touch many and I guess there was something said that really made a well respected person upset. They did express how they felt about the statements that were made. And I agree with that person. Mr. Perry you are a blessing to many and WE ALL LOVE WHAT YOU DO!!! Mr. Perry, I only want you to continue walking your journey with God. Keep your head up.

Love the show. Especially love the fact that they are having Danny come into his manhood this season. However, my comment is simply based on talent. I think the actress who plays Troy, is a terrible actress. She overacts too much and tries to do the most. I'm sure she is a wonderful talent and person, it's just that this role just do well for her. I won't give up on the show and hope either she can turn it around or perhaps they find a better Troy.
